he is not really college aged though -
It wouldnt matter in the long run but it would be just drawn out for years and shitty for the league

Yeah I know I worded it wrong, but there was speculation that he could dig in for a long legal battle instead of simply selling

I dont think it works like that. Meaning he could tie this up in litigation if he wanted to

In regards to Yound, which this conversation is centered, the concern about him is both his height and weight but more so him being sub 200lbs. Not sure why you think its a joke -

It wouldnt be hard to surmise that a million nfl star that is on the cusp of an amazing payday would want to go to a competent franchise in Los Angeles rather then this clown show he has experienced here in charlotte. -

why not do weights? That seems to be the important aspect and most everyone on that list is well over 200lbs -

You dont trade for picks straight up. If someone approached wanting that 2nd then they would to have to make it worth our while, which in most cases is additional pick(s). Its never a 1:1 trade -

Ive said all along I bet he is our pick for these reasons. We will not be in position for the big 3. We will have a new offensive minded coach with a long leash and time to develop AR and at the pajama olympics he is going to blow teams away. A new coach will be able to come in and figure out what to do with him. Sit him start him its up to the coach but he will not be in a "win now" mode like rhule seemingly was. And I dont know how I feel about that after watching a ton of AR -

https://theathletic.com/podcast/211-the-athletic-football-show/?episode=529 Good discussion about the Burns trade offer from a couple of national guys. about 1:06 in basically said fitt didnt do it because of his job security, said good stable teams would do this 100 times out of 100 And a piece from the ringer https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2022/11/1/23435812/nfl-trade-deadline-winners-losers-dolphins-packers-vikings-bears Loser: The Carolina Panthers Sherman: It seemed like the biggest seller of the 2022 season was going to be the Carolina Panthers. They fired head coach Matt Rhule after Week 5, then traded WR Robbie Anderson and RB Christian McCaffrey after Week 6. With a bad record, a lame duck interim coach, and some of their best talent already out the door, the Panthers were essentially declaring their season over. Every player on the roster seemed to have a price tag on them. But on Tuesday, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported a deal that the Panthers were apparently not interested in: The Rams offered them at least two first-round picks for star defensive end Brian Burns … and the Panthers said no. This isn’t about Brian Burns, who is a really solid player and currently ranked seventh in the NFL in QB pressures according to Pro Football Focus. He’s great! But two first-round picks. The Panthers didn’t even get a single first-rounder in exchange for McCaffrey—just one pick in each of the second, third, fourth, and fifth rounds. And they could’ve gotten two for Burns, who will be a free agent after next season. There are some extenuating circumstances. The Rams have already traded away most of their draft picks in between now and the heat death of the universe, so these first-round picks would be in the 2024 and 2025 drafts. And the Rams tend to be good, so they might have been late first-rounders. But still! Two first-round picks! The Panthers will be bad this year, and they’ll probably be bad next year. Why keep Burns for those two seasons instead of getting two massively valuable picks? Unless Burns is a franchise-type superstar who can dominate opposing offenses when the Panthers’ rebuild is complete, this seems like a missed opportunity. -

AR is an all world talent. Probably most talented qb prospect in ages. However he just needs a lot of coaching, seasoning, reps whatever you want to call it he needs it. But he has talent in spades
