He played TE in college. He also played DE as well for what it’s worth. We converted him to fullback when we drafted him.

I hear you but it would be painful to watch him thrive somewhere else. I’m still pissed every time I see Harrison Butker make a FG for the Chiefs.

When he was getting carted off, my man Smitty called him a really good football player. It was nice confirmation to what the rest of us thought of Shi.

Nixon hasn’t done much other than a couple of interceptions in a practice. Shi Smith has been fun to watch and Steve Smith has been talking him up along with Marshall. Shi looked good at Senior Bowl week as well and I was shocked he dropped to the 6th round. I agree, he would get signed off the practice squad by at least half the teams in the league in my opinion. Not that it matters.

The fact that he can’t beat out Gano, tells me everything I need to know.

I was watching Hoskins expecting him to be a jag. It looks like Fitt and our scouting department knew what they were doing when they picked him.

I didn’t expect much from Phil Hoskins and figured they picked him off his measurable not his collegiate play. I figured we’d put him on the practice squad and try to develop him into a serviceable player. Is it just me or did Big Snack look pretty good today? I think this guy could help us and I’m pretty excited about his upside. I can’t find much about him anywhere. Does anyone have the game stats or have any information on him? Am I crazy here or do other huddlers think he could make the team and contribute?

Grier is golfing buddies with our better players. That’s gotta count for something right?

Steve Smith said he was on skates and nervous about getting beat right after he committed a false start.

He looks better than Pride Jr. Melvin and Taylor Jr. look pretty good though.

At least we got that funny exchange between Fletcher and Coach Rhule on draft day. I also wanted Trey Smith for what it’s worth. I was so excited to see who we got and just knew it would be Smith. Then I saw it was a LS and I immediately felt like a Jets fan. I think the team after we picked Fletcher took a LS as well. If we wanted him he was probably going the pick after us but it’s still a LS and Smith is already turning heads.

Taylor is a tall press corner who fits Phil Snow’s defense well. I think I saw him listed higher than STO and Pride Jr. already on the depth chart already. I haven’t heard much about most of our rookies in training camp but the Athletic had a positive blurb on Jackson’s training camp. I get your point on Chandler but if anything Taylor will make it over Hoskins. We can sign Hoskins to the practice squad but I’d be shocked if someone like Seattle didn’t grab Taylor.

That looks good but Taylor is making the team and wouldn't clear waivers anyways.

In all fairness, he was an UDFA that most of us were familiar with from Senior Bowl. Something went horribly wrong because they rolled his a$$ pretty quick.
