  1. There's no need for a dome in order for Charlotte to host a Super Bowl. Jets/Giants Stadium hosted a Super Bowl and they don't have a dome. You're correct, folks will attend regardless of where the game is... ...but Charloot is waaay down the list of preferred destinations ...fans around the country aren't pining to come to the CLT. Super Bowls should be held in warm weather destinations that offer a wealth of other recreational options...
  2. I'm a fan of his and I hope Robby reports and has a FANTASTIC season. That said, something ain't right...
  3. It's a nice thought but why would anyone want to come to Charlotte for a Super Bowl?
  4. Sounds like he would have been a good fit for the Panthers 10 years ago...
  5. Charlotte residents have the opportunity to flip the script -- and it all hinges on voting wisely. Don't vote on party lines, don't vote on skin color... ...ask hard questions and vote on the issues. Vote Billy Maddalon for CLT City Council this Fall --- he is capable of Just Saying NO to the billionaire Panthers owner.
  6. In New York City the yardstick is either 10-years, or 3 generations... ...take your pick
  7. No worries. All the Jets & Giants facilities are in New Jersey and I really don't remember any of their players who actually lived in New York City (Manhattan) proper on a full-time basis. I'm sure there were some but can't think of any right now. Eli Manning did live in Hoboken (directly across the Hudson River from Chelsea/W. Village) for pretty much all of his tenure with Giants (Danny Dimes lives there now)... ...that's kind of a watered down version city living. Most folks who have never been there think of the NJ Turnpike/Snooki & J-Wow/Atlantic City when they think of "Jersey" but towns like Chatham (where Mr. Tepper raised his family) and Morristown (both in Morris County) are idyllic and incredibly beautiful. A ton of incredible and historically significant golf courses in NJ too!
  8. Sam lived in Morristown, NJ which is one of the most beautiful towns in the United States --- needless to say, lots of trees there.
  9. Well done. Glad you are starting to see the light...
  10. "weird"....that's one way to couch it. Others might say only a complete moron would ever leave "guns" (plural) in an unlocked car... (presumably these are not .20-guage bird hunting guns, but rather high-caliber handguns)
  11. Guns in an unlocked car? WTF?!? That's pitiful...
  12. Is the Mecklenburg County legal system even prosecuting this sort of thing these days? This has become a no-bail/no-jail type of thing now hasn't it?
  13. Yes, to the tune of $125,000,000. The dolts on CLT City Council straight-away folded to Jerry Richardson's move-to-LA gambit...there was 0% chance of that happening. Conversely, it's important to remember that then Gov. Pat McCrory faced the same strong-arm attempt to extract State of NC funds for the stadium upgrades...he looked Richardson in the eye and Just Said NO. It appears he may run unopposed but be sure to vote for Billy Maddalon in the next CLT City Council election...Billy isn't afraid to Just Say NO. Vote wisely!
  14. But we just shipped a guy to avoid that exact same situation?!?
  15. Or this year for that matter... ...let him earn those millions.
  16. How many games do folks think he has to win this year to be awarded an extension* going into next season? (*assumes it's still considered bad form to let a starting QB go into the final season of his contract without an extension...possibly this is no longer true?)
  17. Presumably they did the same before going to get the last QB...
  18. (i) Film study, (ii) learn from his mistakes, (which is part of film study) and (iii) positive reps. Throw is (iv) good communication with both his (iv-a) receivers, and his (iv-b) coaches. So that constitutes "the mental aspect of the game"... ...good stuff, been wondering about that. Was he doing any of that stuff when he was with the Jets or is all of this brand new to him?
  19. Exactly what does this entail? How does he improve it?
  20. They forgot to mention when he ripped open his hand punching through his wife’s parent’s window on Christmas after getting sloshed instead of visiting with his kids which resulted in a protective order. Multiple players from different teams in NFL have spoke out they do not want him in the locker room period. That says a lot. I think one team even had him come work out for them to ‘assess his mental state’ (forgot who it was) and very quickly said fug no. He is unstable and surrounds him self with unstable people (shocking). Oh I'm certainly not suggesting anything about his mental state nor do I think the Panthers should go anywhere near him... ...but to suggest he's out of the league because of a bit of group sex is laughable... ...if a majority of NFL players haven't partaken at some point it has to be close!
