  1. I didn't know about that. We could do that, it would be easier.
  2. I would be cool with that but my busy season is about to start and I make careless mistakes when doing stats. If there is someone who is good at that and wants to handle the stats part I'm in. I noticed the most split game is Miami @ NE. That should be fun to watch. I almost went Miami because Mac is a Rook but then I remembered the Tua is 2nd year and didn't look so great when he played last season and I'm still not so sure about him either so I went NE in FOXBORO. I also wanted to pick Browns as I think KC will fall a little this season but I think the Browns may need a few games to get rolling but I am pulling for them in that game.
  3. The Cowboys will disappoint again this season. If they make the playoffs it will only be because they are in the NFC EAST but I still say they won't get it. Washington will take the division and be it's lone playoff team.
  4. Anyone want to make predictions for week 1? Maybe we could do this every week for shiggles if people like it. Only posts made before game 1 count. Let's have some fun and good luck! Dallas Cowboys @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers W Philadelphia Eagles @ Atlanta Falcons W Pittsburgh Steelers @ Buffalo Bills W W Minnesota Vikings @ Cincinnati Bengals W San Francisco 49ers @ Detroit Lions Arizona Cardinals @ Tennessee Titans W W Seattle Seahawks @ Indianapolis Colts W Los Angeles Chargers @ Washington Football Team New York Jets @ Carolina Panthers W W Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs W Miami Dolphins @ New England W W Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints W Denver Broncos @ New York Giants Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Rams W W Baltimore Ravens @ Las Vegas Raiders
  5. I honestly had already forgotten about him.
  6. I don't know, but my reaction to the post is something I've considered with you before. "ignore"
  7. I just hope that he won't require hospitalization. His health and well being are more important than anything else at this point.
  8. Let's put this into proper context and remove the elephant from the room so everyone can move on. Cam Newton is admittedly still learning the Patriots' offense as he goes (msn.com) Newton’s problem this season has been consistency and the Patriots don’t know what they’ll get on a weekly basis. It’s something he’s still working on. “Have I done it consistently? Not to my liking, but I am getting there,” Newton continued. “It’s just a learning curve. It’s just learning each and every day in the famous words of a quote from Game of Thrones, ‘You know nothing, Jon Snow.’ That’s been my mentality each and every day. Just try and stay open-minded and learn as much as I possibly can because it may be some things and I understand how Josh works and it is so unbelievable to work with him because he makes so much in-game adjustments that you have to always to stay on your Ps and Qs because you will always say, ‘We went over that one time this week, coach. You can’t call that.’ That’s not how Josh works. He’s all about reacting to however the defense — whatever the defense gives him and you have to be ready to go and execute at a high level. “With that being said, as far as adversity, as far as success, as far as what my expectation is, it never will change. I know that I don’t know enough and there’s also a side of me where I can say I came a long way in this system, but I am still learning. I think that is my [character] that each and every day I know that I have yet to play my best football and I am getting more and more comfortable all under the graces of obviously Dolla Bill [Bill Belichick], Mickey Ds [McDaniels] and coach Jedi [Jedd Fisch].”
  9. Yeah, learning the Jets playbook is definitely our priority. Thank goodness we have some here that figured that out.
  10. We will, maybe not this year but if they keep making moves like that it's only a matter of time. Moves like that is why I believe the Titans won't be a SB contender anytime soon. Good team? Yes, but not a SB contender.
  11. Well, if our recent moves are any indication, any trade we'd make would be with the long term in mind so I'd be ok with it. Plus, we can take 3 draft picks and turn them into 8 without breaking a sweat.
  12. Lol, who are we now? The Patriots? IF we were to do something so lame I'd at least hope it was a player from a conference rival or at least a team not named the Jets! What do we need to know? They haven't a WR or RB and they are starting a rookie QB. Whatever their playbook is, I highly doubt they will be able to run half of it.
  13. Are you talking about Deonte Brown? Played in the SEC, drafted in the 6th round. I agree with you, the kid has upside. I was surprised by the pick though because I wasn't sure he fit our blocking scheme but he cut weight and he still has time to grow and hopefully he can learn the technical side of blocking and become a solid contributor for us.
  14. I still love Bill Barr's rant in Philly. That was hilarious and well deserved.
  15. That was a really good trade for us. It also demonstrate the risk that teams are making when they trade away so much for a 1 player they like because in the end they are still an unknown commodity.
  16. The Titans cut rookie wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick. So what you ask? It just so happens that the Titans traded the Panthers 3 draft picks to move up to draft him. The Panthers received picks #126 (Chubba Hubbard), #166 (Keith Taylor), #232 (Phil Hoskins). Titans latest cut is actually a waste of three draft picks (msn.com)
  17. Yeah, I wouldn't do that either but was curious if anyone would.
  18. I want the Lions starting RT. He's looked really bad the preseason. We have an RT that we're trying to play at LT and they have an LT that they are trying to play at RT. Just for giggles ofc, how would y'all feel about Moton for Sewell? That would mean we'd have to play 2 rookies at the tackles ofc. Sewell on the left and likely Cristensen on the right. It's just fantasy land but would y'all be happy with that?
  19. Do you have a feeling about who or what we would trade for a player? I've been expecting another trade as well but I can't decide what asset(s) we would use.
  20. Covid derailed everyone's lives. I lost my job because of covid and still haven't recovered and due to my age I probably never will. Much like millions of other people around the world.
  21. I'm not so sure about that. He's a back up at best. He can play G too but he's not exactly an answer unless we unload Paradis to play either Eff or Teck at C and bring this guy in as a reserve.
  22. I think this a a good analysis. Knowing what other teams would be willing to trade for takes knowing the other teams way better than I do. I could only give an answer as to how I perceive the players as a Panthers' fan which doesn't carry any weight with any team and most other Panthers' fans. LS, both of these players would be an improvement for many teams. A potential SB team might be willing to trade for Jansen if they saw LS as a weakness as that could cost them at a big moment. For Fletcher idk, maybe. I can say that I expect Johnson's signing means that Nixon is definitely not 1 of the 53 and possibly Hoskins too depending on whether we carry 8 or 9 DL or if we trade someone we perceive as above him like YGM. I wouldn't include Haynes due to his versatility. WR is difficult because it depends on how we decide to list Cannon because Rhule came as close to endorsing him as a 53 as he is ever likely to do for his ST skills. Returner and Gunner he said was rare and he was perhaps the best gunner in the league I think he put it. If he's listed as WR then both Saunders and Zylstra are likely gone. Of these players, the most likely to get a trade offer for would be YGM, Hoskins, Saunders and Zystra, Jansen and Fletcher in that order but YGM would be a surprise trade so Hoskins maybe the most likely and then it's possible a team desperate for a PR might take a shot at Saunders or Zylstra. But the only players I'd think we could definitely get a pick for would be YGM who isn't a bubble player I believe but just perhaps could be considered expendable if the offer was good as well as Hoskins for his potential. The others are all shots in the dark. I'm just happy that for the first time we have multiple positions where I'm really torn over who stays and who goes. I'd like to keep each one of them and in most years we probably would have except for the LS battle.
  23. I think Will Grier finally received some real coaching for the first time and he worked hard and by golly the guy got better. This team has a few players like that. Young guys who hadn't quite taken that next step have done so in their first off season with this staff. I think we have some very good coaches around here from top to bottom and it's already starting to show. Carter, Luvu, Grier and (fingers crossed) Darnold. Some of the safeties are playing much better than expected too. Each 1 is an example of a player who's been around a few years and is showing improvement in their play. That's all hard work and coaching.
  24. I hope you keep Grier. I know he is mostly hated and hadn't done much before but I personally think he has done really well this camp and has shown tremendous improvement. He has ran the offense efficiently, made quick decisions and his passes have been mostly on target. If I had to choose between him and Walker at this time I would honestly go with Grier. I think he's more similar to Darnold so the change would be more fluid making him a better long term back up if he continues to improve under Brady. Walker appears to be the same as last season but Grier is definitely looking better than last year.
