No QB from the draft or free agency was going to change this being a losing season for us. I mean we’re rebuilding, everything we’re doing is meant to be for winning tomorrow.

They didn’t need a mentor as they went the vet route. We did and he is who we chose. It is what it is. I assume he’ll likely be gone in no more than 2 years whether Bryce is the guy or not. So try to get to know the red rifle.

They rejected him as a QB1. No one is arguing that Dalton is or isn’t a QB1 talent, he is where he should be firmly in a QB2 position. And soon he’ll be moving ever-so-closely to QB Coach type QB3 and likely into coaching. Some offensive minds/former QBs have taken that route. If you feel we could upgrade, cool, we could upgrade almost every position on this team.

Maybe its a hot take but in my opinion after we solidify QB1 we’ll likely be more savvy with the QB2 position like other teams. They’re more doing what they think is best for bryce to take the next step than trying to field the best QB2 talent wise out there.

Thought Cam Jackson might make that list. Happy with what I’ve seen from Ransom. And love his idea for his cele. Heard someone say on a podcast, “watch Ransom is going to become their Kurt Coleman”. Can’t remember the podcast. Maybe Processing blue with mike kaye or something.

And once the cfb season is over, we’ll revisit and see how many are still 1st round talents. Carson beck was a projected 1st round and possibly top 10 pick prior to last years cfb season. Fast forward to now and he’s back in school and had to transfer to miami. A lot can happen between now and the draft. Think steelers and how they are never high enough to draft an actual franchise qb.

This seems like the type of thread that receipts will be kept lol but this is a business and the business move would’ve been to wait and see what this season looks like for him. Sucks for him, but that process is likely the best for the franchise IMO.
