  1. RB Rico Dowdle reveals why he signed with Panthers "That's something you look at, at the offensive line, evaluate it like, 'OK, yeah, those guys are doing that, you know, they're pretty good,'" Dowdle said. "So when I knew I was coming here, I started doing my research and stuff on the O-line, seeing all the positive on it and how they've built it up these past couple years. So definitely was intriguing to see. "With those guys up front, I've watched a little bit of film already, and those guys, they pretty much run mid-zone, similar to what—we ran outside-zone in Dallas." https://pantherswire-eu.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/03/19/nfl-free-agency-rico-dowdle-panthers/82541784007/
  2. Saints WR Cedrick Wilson reworked his contract, cutting his 2025 base salary from $3.4 million to the minimum of $1.17 million. His new cap number is $1.67 million. He previously counted $3.4 million against the cap. It still voids in 2026.
  3. And there have been many players that don't come back as the same player after multiple injuries. If you don't want to completely say he is a bust, sure I can agree with that. But it is definitely trending in that direction. We will be in year 3 of his rookie contract when he sees the field again. Year 3 after two major injuries. Im not gonna ask if you resign him, because yes it is too early for that talk, but it isn't trending towards a second contract for him. But yes the jury is still technically out on him. Could he still have a successful career, yeah sure he could. Do i expect him to have a successful career with us, im not so sure. Conclusion: We will see, but it's trending towards a bad pick/bust territory.
  4. Nick Emmanwori wants to join his old college teammates on the Carolina Panthers "Always, man. X [Xavier Legette] and Jaycee [Horn] was my guys. Talk to them almost every other week, every month. The Panthers, man, they have a huge impact on us out here. They just got Rico Dowdle, so they've got a real Gamecock squad over there. And hopefully, they come and pick me up too. That'd be cool." https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1902041331146383408?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1902041331146383408|twgr^a5778bd811e03bece8f99a624e05c69e8fd36b81|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcatcrave.com%2Fstandout-draft-prospect-issues-emphatic-come-and-get-me-plea-carolina-panthers
  5. Many would and will call it a mistake. Were they sort of right in thinking to get ahead of the ball and select a RB last draft, sure. Did they take the right guy in the right spot, no. Regardless of bad luck being involved, it was a bad pick.
  6. Sources: Vikings to roll with McCarthy, not pursuing Rodgers The Minnesota Vikings are moving past their discussions with free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers, leaving second-year player J.J. McCarthy atop the quarterback depth chart as offseason practices approach, sources told ESPN. The Vikings spent the better part of a week considering their options after Rodgers made clear he preferred to sign with the team, sources have said. Their internal deliberations intensified after 2024 starter Sam Darnold signed with the Seattle Seahawks and free agent Daniel Jones, whom the Vikings envisioned as a veteran wingman for McCarthy, rejected their contract offer and signed instead with the Indianapolis Colts.
  7. Free agent WR Rondale Moore visited the Jets today.
  8. Mecole Hardman, a veteran wide receiver and return specialist, is signing with the Green Bay Packers on a one-year deal, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. He's not the No. 1 receiver the Packers might be lacking, but Hardman does replace the kind of speed Green Bay will be without until Christian Watson returns from his torn ACL. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said recently that the team is preparing to be without Watson, who was injured in the regular-season finale, for the early portion of the season. Hardman, 27, has spent most of his six NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after being drafted by the team in the second round in 2019.

  10. Brandon Graham, who played 15 seasons in Philadelphia and became the longest-tenured Eagle in franchise history, announced his retirement from the NFL. Graham returned from a torn triceps muscle to play in the Super Bowl and help the Eagles win their second Super Bowl in what turned out to be the final game of his NFL career.
  11. Eagles standout offensive tackle Lane Johnson reworked his contract to add $8 million dollars over the next two years and an additional $30 million in guarantees, his agent, Ken Sarnoff, told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Johnson added one year at $25 million to his deal, and he is now under contract through the 2027 season.
  12. The Seahawks are bringing in veteran receiver Michael Gallup for a free-agent visit, as @AaronWilson_NFL said. The 29-year-old Gallup, who had 3,744 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns over six season with Dallas, retired last summer after joining the Raiders.
  13. Free agent pass rusher Azeez Ojulari is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year, $4 million deal, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Monday.
  14. The Pittsburgh Steelers and safety Juan Thornhill have reached agreement on a one-year deal, sources confirmed to ESPN.
  15. Jameis Winston visiting with the Giants With Aaron Rodgers still undecided about his future, the Giants have been busy bringing in veteran quarterbacks. First, they met with Joe Flacco last week, and now, they're visiting with Jameis. We've got more on his visit here. Winston to the Giants would definitely be an interesting pairing.
  16. According to ESPN NFL draft and college football analyst Jordan Reid, Jalon Walker sustained a quad strain during training and is not expected to participate in Georgia's upcoming pro day on Wednesday, March 12. The Salisbury, N.C. native, per Reid, is planning to hold a private workout for NFL teams on April 17.
  17. Former Lions and Texans CB Jeff Okudah is visiting today with the Minnesota Vikings.
  18. Record deal: Texans All-Pro CB Derek Stingley Jr has agreed to a three-year, $90 million extension including $89 million guaranteed. At $30M base value per year, Stingley is now the highest paid defensive back in NFL history. The CB market has been completely reset.

  20. Some Vikings employees feel chance of signing QB Aaron Rodgers is "50/50" per report Mike Silver, a national columnist for The Athletic who is a fellow Cal alum like Rodgers, believes it's "literally 50/50" on whether or not the Minnesota Vikings will sign former four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a longtime NFC North rival with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers' decision will likely come once Minnesota decides if they want him or not. https://x.com/TPPSkol/status/1901337272047567144?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1901337272047567144|twgr^26c79e0fcbec33d545b136261282a5bcda91d6bd|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cbssports.com%2Fnfl%2Fnews%2F2025-nfl-free-agency-day-7-live-updates-tracking-signings-trades-rumors-on-aaron-rodgers-russell-wilson%2Flive%2F
  21. Aaron Rodgers update We're in the middle of the seventh day of NFL free agency, and still no official word on what Aaron Rodgers is going to do. All accounts state that the Steelers and Giants have submitted offers to Rodgers with retirement also being an option. The big question is the Vikings and whether or not they have interest in the four-time league MVP. There's been conflicting reports regarding the Vikings' interest in Rodgers. There are also conflicting reports regarding Rodgers and the Vikings; some feel that Rodgers is waiting to see if the Vikings will reach out before he makes a final decision. If that is true, it appears that the Vikings is Rodgers' preferred choice.
  22. A new backup for Lamar Jackson: former Cowboys free-agent QB Cooper Rush reached agreement today on a two-year contract worth up to $12.2 million with the Baltimore Ravens, per me and @JFowlerESPN.
  23. The San Francisco 49ers are trading running back Jordan Mason to the Minnesota Vikings, his agents, Jason and Michael Katz, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday. The Vikings will also receive the No. 187 pick in April's NFL draft and send a 2026 sixth-round pick and the No. 160 pick in this draft to the Niners, sources told Schefter. The Vikings are signing Mason to a two-year deal with over $7 million fully guaranteed, with a maximum value of $12 million.
  24. Falcons keeping Cousins Cousins will not be released by Atlanta after all, as the Falcons will be paying a $10 million roster bonus that is due in 2026. The Falcons couldn't find a trade partner to take on his contract, so Cousins will back up Michael Penix in 2025 -- barring a trade later this offseason. His dead cap is $65 million.
  25. Titans have released cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, who played in eight games for the team in 2024, including seven that he started.
