CHARLOTTE — The Panthers are bringing back a returner who showed flashes last year, at a time when the league is considering changes to kickoff rules. The team tendered a contract to exclusive rights free agent Raheem Blackshear on Monday, securing his rights for the coming season. In two seasons, he's rushed 37 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns and has 16 catches for 138 yards. Where he stood out was in the return game. He averaged 26.9 per kickoff return last year on 16 attempts (with a long of 52). With a proposal on the table to modify kickoffs (with the goal of increasing returns), having someone with Blackshear's ability there can only help.

If we had confidence in our QB i would agree. I'm thinking from the stance of the FO evaluating Bryce with legit weapons playing with their careers on the line just to see if BY can deliver. Which I don't agree with but I think that's how they're going to view and play this thing

I dunno. It's a contract year for him so we need him to ball out for the money, not get paid and take it easy. He's 28ish, will be working hard for that one last big contract. It's obvious they're all in on seeing if Bryce can get it done with a better supporting cast so they should see it through the right way for this one year

If we're daydreaming about FA WR's I'll take Tyler Boyd. Super underrated and not a diva, has some height to open up the red zone. Had him in fantasy multiple years and is always reliable
