  1. Yikes so probably $10m a year for a 30 year old tackle who's only healthy for like half the season? Sounds like a Rhule move
  2. As everyone agrees in the FA thread, just let Rhule run it out with the guys he wanted, blow it up next year when we have $110m in cap space. New coach, new QB, everything.
  3. Oh yeah I don't want to give Rhule any more ammo to work with, just ride it out as is. Just saying he's in desperation mode and he probably wants to do all those restructures even though it benefits no one but himself at this point.
  4. We've only got $17m in cap space, but I think if they restructure Robby/CMC/Moton/Shaq/etc we could maybe get to $45-50m. The real question is do Reddick and Luvu even wanna play here again? I'd keep Zylstra,Gonzales, maybe Chandler and everyone else is jags. Let the new special teams coach who knows what he's doing pick a new returner, punter. Also I really don't trust this long snapper Rhule drafted to take over for JJ
  5. So since you played, my question is since he already wasn't great against the bull rush in college even against guys 50 pounds lighter than him and with the ability to widen his stance to absorb the impact or whatever, why would Rhule think he would have a better chance inside at guard taking on DT's? I'm assuming DT's or bigger DE's playing inside generally bull rush/Slash/Swim. I think his best quality on tape to me has been finesse tackle/working speed guys out to the edge/a couple yards behind the play and buying time for the QB. He'll never be a legit road grader obviously so I just don't get Rhules 2nd round guard/3rd round tackle grade
  6. Not even the punter! The even worse part about it is they didn't even have a clue until they had open try outs during warm ups an hour before the game. I remember hearing PNP talk about how our kicking units were just hanging out drinking gatorade in training camp when the Ravens guys were always finding something to work on.
  7. I didn't watch the OP video yet but from past film on BC his biggest weakness in college was the bullrush, even from LBer's. Hard to see it being a good idea for him to line up in front of a nose tackle. Deonte would make more sense but I don't recall seeing that many 350 pound centers off the top of my head. Landon Dickerson played C in college, that's the biggest guy I can think of in recent memory. Sounds tough on the knees at that weight. I'm fine with trying guys at other spots if they aren't getting it done at their natural position because it's usually try that or cut them, this seems the opposite of that
  8. When you have, at end of season pressers, Deonte mentioning he's trying to learn Center, and Rhule mentioning BC as potentially playing center it just goes to show Rhule learned nothing over the course of the year. Hopefully these vet coordinators shut him down on his weird hyperactive reactionary decisions/solutions. I assume they took the jobs knowing Rhule doesn't know what he's doing and they can either play along with his bad ideas or just tell him straight up let them do their jobs
  9. So Rhule has smarter guys than himself running his teams..If he keeps the job because of this that's some serious privilege
  10. This is like 1000% better than any Rhule presser I've ever heard. (After the 49ers game he was interim HC for)
  11. Tepper probably said hire some NFL guys or resign. Kinda was hoping he did the latter, but either way we're better off. At least the rookies get some actual NFL experience they can carry over to the next year regardless of what happens.
  12. Was thinking that when I heard he was interviewing. That whole team looked different/played harder the week Nagy was out haha.
  13. We had a 3 year head start and are gonna be 1 year behind the Saints who's coach just retired two days ago...
  14. Think the Broncos wanted the better possibility of getting Rodgers if they got Hackett?
  15. You know Rhule is gonna make excuses once again this year about "Adjusting to a new offensive system" under Mcadoo to try and buy yet another year. It'll never end until Tepper just pulls the plug. And yes Rhule declaring Carter LB1 like a week into training camp just shows horrible evaluation, or they weren't even practicing at a high enough NFL level to even tell if anyone on their team was good or not. He was so eager to let the Colts and Ravens run the joint practices so he could basically learn on the job
  16. Yeah if a good Vet and random Mcadoo suddenly turn this team in a wildcard team, what's even the point of Matt Rhule? Can get any random cheerleader guy to do the press conferences. At least find someone likable at face value that the players don't mind having to listen to in meetings
  17. Havent watched much besides highlight reels but he really does kinda pat the ball and stare down his deep WR waiting for them to get separation on most of them. I don't think any of these guys are better than like a Trevor Siemian at best, maybe Willis will show out at the Senior Bowl but otherwise I'm not really interested in anyone before the 4th round really
  18. That 5.07 40 time is not gonna get him very far on scrambles/runs in the NFL.
  19. Rhule just said a couple weeks ago that Rashawn Slater (the all pro rookie LT) is actually a guard, and that pick 8 was too high to take a guard. Who knows what his logic about taking a Center at 6 would be
  20. Will be interesting to see at the Senior Bowl with Dan Campbell coaching. I'd take him but hate the idea of Rhule and Mcadoo being anywhere near him.
  21. Set him free to a playoff bound team for a 2nd round pick, wouldn't be surprised if a few guys are requesting trades RN
  22. I think with the right coaching he could clean up some footwork and be really good. He's just kinda raw playing in the pocket, but if it clicks he's got the highest ceiling out of the QB's this year. I'd take him in the 2nd if we had a pick and he was sitting there. We have the exact opposite coaching staff he needs though so I wish him success elsewhere, our QB coach is ok but Mcadoo's system doesn't cater to his strengths and Rhule is just a guy here for some reason
  23. Willis is the only guy that's possibly in that stratosphere in this draft, but like Allen it might take a year or two to really command the position, or he might never adjust to NFL ball. Everyone else in this draft is already compared to that Tannehill/Jimmy G/Goff/Carr ceiling if you're lucky
  24. Rhule should get no more QB's unless we do some trade back and you can't pass up a guy in the 2nd or 3rd. Maybe get a cheap Vet in FA but there isn't exactly a Josh Mccown type available this year, and Sam shouldn't need any more tutoring at this point, he should be in his prime
  25. Yup Pickett is basically in his prime and already throws with the velocity of a 35 year old. Howell is like a slower (mentally and physically) Baker Mayfield, not seeing anything promising out of either one. Willis if he falls to the 2nd and we have a pick would be hard to pass up.
