Plus, the fact that the Jags didn’t pick up his 5th year option begs the question why not? A little strange for the projected top FA ILB, former 1st rounder to not have his 5th year option picked up. Maybe they know something that we don’t? Also, he saved by far his best season for a contract year.. Maybe it’s all nothing and he turns out to be a great FA signing, but there’s a few things with Devin Lloyd that would make me hesitant to pay him 20 mill a year.

I don't disagree. Morgan has had multiple chances to address center in the draft. It's finally catching up to him

Daniel Jeremiah was talking about the depth at center during the OL workouts. I've heard it a few other times as well while listening to draft podcasts. There isn't a Tyler Linderbaum level prospect, but a lot of good 3-5th round centers.

We are 100% drafting a C to start. (Jones, Hecht, Law, Slaughter) I'm sure it's been Dan Morgan's plan all along. I find it smart because it's an EXTREMELY strong center draft. I'm glad Morgan recognizes that. You can't keep everyone in a salary cap world. Also, let's stop pretending that Cade Mayes was an "all world" center. He was solid, but not great. Let some other team give him 8-9 mill a year

2026 NFL Combine Thread: 2.26.26 - 3.1.26

I feel like the 3rd or 4th might be a sweet spot for our next starting center. Theres some solid centers that should be there when we're on the clock. -

Gennings Dunker is a guy I’ve grown to admire while watching the NFL Combine. Moves great, looked fantastic in drills. One of the highest graded PFF OT’s in college football over the past few years. Plus, he’s got the look too with that mullet Lol. -

When you take the process oriented approach, you rarely get the wow factor. I still see this team 2-3 years away from a legit SB contender. The goal is to slowly but surely build the roster with great players that you know will be impactful. Give me a clean prospect like Thieneman over a guy like Faulk who has the measurables but lacks production. I use Faulk as an example since we met with him. Faulk scares the hell out of me. Not a fan. Calculated risks that might give you the “wow factor” are necessary at times, but not in the 1st round imo. Esp not for the Panthers. -

I wouldn’t complain if we drafted Dillon Thieneman at #19 and finally fix the FS black hole we’ve had for so long. He’s a natural cover 3 FS. -

Damn! Who expected this athleticism from Jacob Rodriguez? -

David Bailey is going to be a game wrecker. Love his tape. His measurables are just icing on the cake. -

Hopefully we stay away from Cashius Howell. -
Chanel PFF grade 75.1. 18th/88 LB’s Rozeboom PFF grade 47.9. 75th/88 LB’s

Max Iheanachor is my guy after the Senior Bowl. Dude completely dominated and has the potential to be a franchise LT. had a great season too. I’d rather go 1st round OT. 2nd round LB. Sign Leo Chanel as well

Daniel Jeremiah 2026 NFL mock draft 1.0
flagfootballcoach28 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I love Tyson. I think he will be fantastic, but would we really pay 3 young WR’s 2nd big money contracts down the road? Seems like a poor allocation of resources in a salary cap word if we plan on keeping TMac and Coker long term. -
Top 5 draft targets for positions of need
flagfootballcoach28 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Obviously BPA is not 100% bulletproof. Even professional card counters still lose at times. Over a long duration though, it’ll give you better draft classes. Butler was only Gettleman’s BPA. Noone else had him rated that high. -
Top 5 draft targets for positions of need
flagfootballcoach28 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
This team simply needs more blue chip talent which is why BPA is the only way to go. It’s the best way to sustain long term success -
This is the way. He’s no Luke, but who is? Golday is one of my draft crushes. I’d love him in the 2nd.

Go watch him on that long TD run by the Miami RB. Yikes.

Could Morgan be eyeing Trey Hendrickson
flagfootballcoach28 replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Screw it, I'll go against the grain and play devils advocate. We tried the committee approach with Turk Wharton and Bobby Brown at DT instead of just paying a little extra for the blue chip player Milton Williams last offseason..That was a mistake. If we pass on Trey, we'll most likely do the same again.. overpay for JAG's who don't move the needle(Wonnum, Jones, Wharton, Brown). If we like it or not, there's a high chance we are going to have BY for another few years bare minimum. Might as well just accept it, use that extra cap space to build a good team around him like other franchises do with their rookie contract QB, then see what happens. A projected 2 year 50 mill deal for a player who's 1 year removed as the sack leader is not the worst outcome. Plus, that would take pressure off our young edge guys to carry the workload.. Tre played in 7 games last year, still had 4 sacks. Around a 10 sack rate if he plays the entire season. Still better than anyone we have. He was also playing hurt before he finally called it quits for the season. I get that he's 31, but a guy who heavily relies on hand usage, technique etc more than athleticism should still be productive as he ages a little. It's a strong LB class. It would allow us to address LB, OT, with our 1st and 2nd round picks while giving us another year to evaluate Scourton and Princely before we jump the gun on another edge. -
I assume you’re talking about Proctor and Lomu. I consider them overrated and both risky prospects, but we’ll see what happens. I feel like the value in the 2nd round at OT is way better “bang for your buck” than the late 1st round guys.
