How in the hell did the topic turn to my dong and your weird obsession with getting cucked? This is exactly why you morons shouldn't be allowed near the front office.

What did I list that was untrue? I keep hearing "the good/smart ppl" but uh... who would that be? Hopefully not the same folks that were screaming to ship Bryce off for a scratch off ticket and some jenkem. And there was a looooooot of them... Have you not seen the last 6 years of brain drain here? Knowledgeable posters have bailed in favor of other hubs. Instead of DOGE, you could call it DOPE though. It'd be oddly fitting.

Current cap space ~$28.6M (will be higher once the 2025 cap is finalized)

Good on Dan. He had pounded the table for Dane in Buffalo and then did the same to bring him here. Mike Jackson outplayed him, and Dan is cutting ties rather than holding on to a guy that was outperformed by other guys on the roster. Best of luck to Dane. I'm sure he'll get picked up somewhere as depth at least. Worst case scenario, he'll make a practice squad.

I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team.

Who is your way too early mid-round draft crush?
Icege replied to BeenPounding's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dorian Strong, CB, Virginia Tech -
Idk man... if it were up to some Huddlers, the team would be trading for Matt Stafford and signing Justin Fields to "improve the QB room" while signing an RB/LB that attended Trident Tech because "RB/LB are plug and play positions." All before they cut Taylor Moton. Nooooo thank yooou.

For me, idk if it's players being off the board as much as it is the deal being offered. If somebody is offering the mother lode, scooooop!

Trigger me timbers!

Pretty funny that the Bryce haters are upset by this.

This is a weird take. Were you this upset when DA was re-signed as Cam's backup/mentor?

I'm optimistic because one of the major knocks on XL as a prospect was being a one-year wonder that needed to level up his route running... and he did. His routes were night and day compared to his time at USC, though there was still some of that awkwardness that Mike Kaye wrote about when he said that XL seems to make every catch more difficult for himself somehow. He's shown the ability to get open deep as well as absorb shots over the middle. I think that Canales & Idzik are going to be trying to mold him into the team's X... which will hopefully include sticking him out on the jugs machine with Chuba (and Tommy, should he be retained). Having said that... few things are more concerning for a WR than inconsistent, unreliable hands. Stick Coker's hands on XL (or give Coker XL's athleticism) and we've got a bad ass Frankenstein's monster to march out there.

It's a little silly how the Huddle slid right from "CJ > Bryce" to "Ladd > XL"

I hate how much this made me chuckle.

My brothers in Christ, we have had search engines since the 1990s. BEHOLD, THE ANSWER YOU SEEK tldr; looks like he might still be waiting but did have a procedure on his foot (for those that don't recall, he had hurt his foot in training camp).

NFLStockExchange and TheFranchiseGuy have been good watches as well. The NFL Draft subreddit is... a thing. Can sometimes find some interesting perspectives on players that you might not have been open to previously.

Is running back on the table for the panthers this draft?
Icege replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wouldn't surprise me tbh. With JB being more than likely done for the upcoming season and dealing with his second ACL tear in that knee, the team can't just assume that he's going to be available. Taking a late round flier on a power guy and letting him get the occasional touch behind Chuba/Miles will help with keeping them healthy so that in 2026 the team can walk into the season with a three-headed monster in the backfield. -

Jonathan Stewart's response:

Fortunately, Malaki Starks is far and away the best safety in the draft and if we're talking value, the team only has a UDFA (Richardson) under contract going forward. He's also a better prospect than Kyle Hamilton was (imo) who went #14. Minkah Fitzpatrick went at #11 a couple of seasons prior to that.

Looks like they forgot 2008 - 2011 entirely. Over on defense there was Charles Johnson, pre-assault charges Greg Hardy, Jon Beason, Dan Connor, Chris Gamble, Thomas Davis, and Captain Munnerlyn. All were on both the 2011 + 2012 rosters. Same with Gross/Wharton/Kalil on the OL, Smitty/LaFell at WR, and Double Trouble at RB. Not to mention there was a lot of the same talent from the 12-4 2008 season on that roster. Hard to call that a locker room full of losers, guys that don't want to win, guys that didn't want to prepare... especially when John Fox's lame duck season and CBA lockouts followed shortly after. That 2-14 team lost TD, Connor, Otah, DWill, and Wharton all two season ending injuries. Matt Moore also went down which is what forced Clausen + Pike to start (before Keith Null and Brian St Pierre limped the team to the finish line). Moore had ended 2009 4-1 with an 8:1 TD:INT ratio after Jake broke his finger. It's insane to me that Cam would've even suggested that his teammates were losers, especially given how much former teammates have talked him up. It was very much a talking head hot take but if it's what he truly believes... ooh wee mayne.
