  1. I didn’t say I believed it. I just think the timing lining up with what Reich said in the presser is interesting. I hope it’s not Levis at one, just because I don’t think he’s worth what they gave up but we’ll see. I’ll only start to believe it when either: 1. A reliable reporter starts to pick up on it. or 2. He becomes the odds on favorite in the next 24-48 hours.
  2. FWIW, until some beat reporters, a national insider, or somebody reliable on here says that Levis is the pick I'm still of the mind that it'll be Young. It's just an interesting coincidence.
  3. Reddit homeboy did say that Levis allegedly was told last night, and I guess that kinda lines up with what Frank just said about them talking last night. I still don't know if I'm buying it just yet but that's a weird coincidence.
  4. Like even if this is somewhat true, it’s crazy to me that nobody caught wind of it for months if the Panthers target was Levis the whole time. Look if Fitt somehow pulled off tricking literally everybody, I’ll take back everything I’ve said about him being bad at not showing it hand lmao.
  5. Do we know if there are gonna be pressers today after practice is over?
  6. No way y'all are in here calling each other pedophiles over damn football takes. Y'all are trippin man.
  7. Yeah I've noticed that too. If Levis became the odds on favorite at some point today then I'd say that it's a good chance there might be smoke to the fire but if stuff continues to reset to what it has been then I don't think there's anything to it.
  8. If it ends up being Levis idk if I’d be mad but I’d more so wonder why they felt like they needed to go to 1 to get him. But whatever, Thursday can’t get here fast enough.
  9. Jay Glazer says it’s still Young: Jay usually doesn’t miss, when he breaks news it’s because he knows for sure.
  10. FanDuel had Bryce at -1350 and Levis at +700 a few minutes ago but now has Bryce at -1200 and Levi’s at +800. So his odds are going back up and not down on that site at least fwiw.
  11. Went to Reddit just out of curiosity to look at the account: 1. It was created 8 days ago, yet claims they leaked a Baker Mayfield pick however many years ago Baker got drafted. 2. They’re claiming this info is “leaking” other places, yet nobody has picked it up. 3. And that none of the big name insiders wanna say it because it’ll cause a “ratings spike” on draft day. Which like sure, but also the insiders that don’t work for networks carrying the draft would’ve definitely picked it up by now because insiders love being first and right lol.
  12. My thing is, if it was gonna be Levis, SOMEBODY would’ve picked up on it by now. All the insiders don’t get their info from the same people so I’m certain there would’ve been at least 1 person who would’ve put out that they’ve heard “rumblings” about Levis or whatever. Besides, the mods on here with connections have said even if the pick wasn’t Bryce it’d be AR. And Crown and Claw said it was Bryce so yeah I’m calling BS right now. Bryce is still like a -1600 favorite so until Levis overtakes him there then I’m not trippin.
  13. Yeaahhhh….idk. Unless one of our beat reporters/insiders pick up on this or somebody who’s been a reliable leaker on here says something, I’m not believing it. With how the process has gone it’d be extremely random. We’ll see though.
  14. Thanks for the insight. What you're saying basically aligns with what a lot of the folks in the media have been saying. Which is that Bryce has just won everyone over throughout the process. I don't know why that's so unbelievable to some folks.
  15. A couple of the mods with contacts yesterday have said the pick has always been Young but that AR was/is QB2. And @The Crown and the Claw a week or so ago mentioned that the momentum had been swinging towards Young and they're probably one of the most reliable insiders on here. I feel like it's way too easy for people to say "Tepper is forcing this" when the selection isn't somebody they preferred. Not saying you're doing that but just in general, that seems like a cop out.
  16. I don’t think anybody is refuting that he’ll have a voice, but I think it’s just as foolish to act like there’s just no way that Reich and Fitt could also be aligned on Bryce being the guy as well just because Tepper may like him, which is what some on here have been doing to justify why the pick probably isn’t Stroud. I can’t wait for the Draft confidential stuff to come out this year just to see what some of those BTS conversations were like.
  17. Think Mingo goes in the 2nd, whether it’s to us or someone else. It’s been sounding like the league is higher on him than people think, which makes sense giving his size and athletic profile in a smaller WR class.
  18. I'd love to see them walk away from this draft with a couple of new pass catchers, whether it's multiple receivers, another tight end, a pass-catching back or whatever. The best rookie QB's have an adequate amount of weapons surrounding them and our core right now is okay but they can definitely improve it. I hope the plan for the '24 offseason is throw a bag at a top receiver who slips into free agency because this next FA Class at receiver could have some legit names in there.
  19. I'm sure we're gonna be in shotgun a lot regardless of who the QB would be just because that's the way the league has been trending. I mean the Eagles ran out of shotgun a bunch last year and according to Miles Sanders, our offense super similar to theirs with the RPO action and what not, so it's not implausible. I think they'll run some under center concepts too even if Bryce is the QB. They may not do it a lot but I think they'll do it. Here's a good article of the increased usage of shotgun formation over the past few seasons: https://www.the33rdteam.com/category/analysis/nfl-teams-moving-out-from-under-cenet-riding-shotgunnfl-teams-riding-shotgun/
  20. I wouldn't be so sure about that tbh. We've had a couple mods in this thread tell us that they've heard that if it wasn't gonna be Bryce it'd be AR and that lines up with the recent reporting around AR and him being the choice in a trade back scenario. And in general I hate when folks talk about these QB's and their fate in the league for definitively. Whether it's being so certain dude will have an injury riddled career, or just saying that he's for sure gonna be a bust. Like can we at least wait until these dudes take a snap in the league before writing the book on their careers, and that's in a positive or negative light. Like we ain't gotta crown him as the second coming but we also don't gotta act like he's destined to fail. Also disagree with the slant comment because it shows up on tape when Bama runs their RPO's, and he routinely makes throws over the middle.
  21. Okay by that logic all owners meddle because they sign the checks of the people they employ lol. I’ve always gotten the sense that Tepper is active but not overbearing because for all intents and purposes, he let Matt Rhule do whatever the hell he wanted. Okay but also who’s to say both didn’t love Bryce as well? I think a lot of people read way too much into the pro day interactions because they were public, but we don’t know how the interactions were behind closed doors. I don’t think it’s fair to say Bryce is a Tepper pick just because it’s not your (not literally you but in general) preference.
  22. I get that Tepper probably hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt on here and to a lot of Panthers fans but I’ve been optimistic about him growing and learning from his mistakes. He messed up with Rhule and course corrected with the great staff we have now. Also I’m not sure why y’all don’t think Frank and Fitt won’t have final say on the pick when they’ve told us that a million times in the past few weeks.
  23. You also don’t use the resources to pick somebody just because they’re “safe” which is essentially what Stroud is. Which isn’t bad but it’s conservative. I gotta push back on the shelf life thing too because a lot of people on here talk as if Bryce destined to have a career ending injury at some point. That’s kind of insane because we’ve seen much bigger QB’s get hurt at a way higher rate. The dude has had one self inflicted injury in his entire career. He isn’t coming out with the injury history of Tua or something. His size makes him an outlier, yes, but way too many people on here are speaking as if it’s a done deal that his career gets cut short by injury. Let’s at least let him get on the field first.
