Your starting Quarterback of the Carolina Panthers….PJ Walker

I'm just trying to put blinders on for some reason and convince myself this won't be a blowout. -

I am told PJ with a week spent with the 1ns will look good. I am ready to see it. -
I don't trust Nagy and the Bears to develop him either. I think he's going to work out and grow in spite of them. Not because of them. Like Cam did for a while here.
-
I give him a B so far.

Which trade was worse 2nd for Darnold or 3rd for Henderson?
Varking replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Darnold. Henderson can help us later this year and next year. He isn’t going to play over Gilmore, Bouye and Jackson. Darnold should be cut. -
Bears have had a worse oline this season.

Chicago also has a much more difficult schedule. They have no back to back road or home games. Every week it’s rotated. Chicago has defeated the Raiders and Bengals. That’s two wins over .500 clubs. Our only win against one was New Orleans. Chicago is trending up. We are trending down. Chicago is blocking better now that they have their rookie 5th rounder playing and they should get Jenkins to play soon. They will have a young QB and two young Tackles to go with him from the same draft class.

I’m just making the argument for argument sake. I don’t believe it.

We just need people to be accountable. Admit we made a mistake and going forward they use that to learn. You need a QB in the NFL. College, sure, you can turn Meh into something good via playcalling. Not here.
-
You can if you want to. You could argue he ruined him beyond repair.
-
He’s doing it right before our eyes. He’s been trending up every week since the awful debut.

According to NFL Advanced Stats: Sam Darnold has 2.94 seconds to throw on average this season. Justin Fields has 2.79. Zach Wilson leads the NFL with 3.1 time to throw. source: https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#yards

Nagy is a bad coach and Lazors offenses everywhere he has been the offensive coordinator have been in the bottom part of the NFL. He’s just a kid that’s going to learn by being out there and he will try to make the best of whatever awful call is called. I think we have a better QB coach and our offensive coordinators are about the same. Nagy might be better than Rhule but even he shouldn’t he a head coach right now.

An awful penalty call. He also had a nice throw to Robinson that got called back, too.

It’s the Seattle Super Bowl route. Get 3-4 elite secondary players and hope you hit on a cheaper QB. We just can’t seem to hit on the QB part!

My family was recording my reaction because I thought it was a slam dunk pick. When they got to “Jay” they stopped recording and I lost it. Then I sucked it up and hoped for the best with Sam but it’s been a mistake.

17/29 for 291 Yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. 8 Carries for 45 Yards. Monday night football against the Pittsburgh Steelers and his team put themselves in awful positions with penalties. He’s trending up. He’s been trending up week after week. That’s all you can ask for from a rookie.
-
They flashed a stat in the 4th saying his average completion was like 14 yards in the air. He’s doing this as a rookie against a really good defense and no offensive line. You’ve just been on the anti Fields wagon for a while now so you have to downplay any good he’s doing.
-
We should have picked him.

I don’t believe for a moment Fields is getting good coaching. It’s just trial by fire.
