If people would have just watched the right video with an unbiased eye, they would have seen. And it was pointed out, linked to, described in detail numerous times. I am talking about his Pro Day. I read through an old thread from last year maybe late Sunday night - pretty sure it was pre draft and you were talking about the same thing I was seeing and trying to tell people about. The run up for the launch. The effort employed to get zip and distance was noted. the mechanics of it. Pointing how the playbook would be limited, especially with very little playing from under center. The playbook is inferred, but the mechanics footwork arm strength are on video and tangible evidence. Not speculative. Those are huge things I never could understand people not even looking.

I am not a sunshine and lollipop smoke blower fan. But I think he needs to learn. You cannot keep throwing coaches out like you change your socks. A lot of us understood that he had to go through the motions of working with Young. The hope (or fear) was that he could coach him up and draw up plays that would get him to maybe top 20 status. I only saw a couple of people thinking it was going to blossom into what he was drafted to be, but most hoped that he could run a tailored offense and get us to 5 or 6 wins. I will again say, he (Canales) has proven to help guys that had played well in the league but slipped. If can do anything with Young then imagine him working with someone that legit had NFL level tools and potential. Gotta see it through the same way we saw Bryce through last year

It got a pretty big bump from his Sunday afternoon. There was a lot of hope that was crushed pretty hard. Hopefully they will put him out of our misery soon and people can focus on something more positive. More likely it will be Canales bitching, Evero bitching, Morgan bitching. But he is starting on Sunday so…. people are going to talking.

All that looks great except so much of it is it is yard ball running around all over. And you take that and put it in an NFL speed and reaction format. We have been looking at it.

If he were my son I'd just tell him to make the most of the short time you will be allowed to play QB in the NFL. Don't stress, enjoy it but start thinking about life after. I can do out of sight out of mind, hope I don't have to.

Armanti was not drafted to be a QB. All I remember about the CBs is that Gettleman fuged things up at the 11th hour and had to throw poo at the wall to try and cover. I don't remember the sequence exactly, but that was one of the things that turned me against him. edit: but we should have taken a QB last year later. Of course Rattler was my favored guy but somebody that has a little something and is young, we should not be afraid to spend a later pick to build a top half QB room top to bottom.

Whatever... I am not really concerned about it. Lack of communication can be a big negative too. Tepper thought we were supposed to be point guarding to the playoffs last year at this time. 2-15. Baby steps. You are getting there. He has name, but not game. His head is fuged up because he has pushed things to their limit. The tippy toe gimmick and other technique 'customizations' that worked to get him in the mix with the big boys... served him well in the college arena. He probably needs to go to Canada or some other league if he wants to play.

I didn't mind Darnold so much, but I was disengaged with the NFL in general I have large issues with that corporation that runs our national sport. It was the picking up the option I think, before he did anything (that was stupid). They are so arrogant that they think they know what will happen in advance. I do too lol but they won't listen.

Sure, agreed. It sort of a statement just to illustrate where things were. Technically I guess. I have been on the 'he is the number 2 because you can't really cut him' and still have to pay a backup too for the new guy. Bryce is guaranteed, you are giving him his money no matter what. No brainer. He is actually the perfect backup to a young player because no one is going to be clamoring for him to start over the rookie no matter how bad he looks. I don't understand any of the surprise. In Bryce, himself being surprised, I guess I could understand. He is buddies with all these other QBs and considered himself one of them I guess. Maybe thought he was better, in his inner thoughts. He is really not one of them and it was going to come out if he pushed it. And he did. Had an agent, did all the big time maneuvers to get drafted high, I hope he tipped his agent. But it is out now. Be fuging careful what you ask for. If he would have asked to be a late 1st mid 2nd and God forbid, a 3rd round pick, he would have avoided all that pressure. Nope.
