I guess I am biased here with being negative on Bryce but I can’t see Harbaugh hitching his wagon to Bryce. Meaning Tepper would willingly jettison his boy and Canales for Harbaugh. Which I can’t see.

It isn’t everybody. It is the faction akin to those that brought us threads where you could only say positive things about Bryce. It is a troll poll anyway. There is no such reality where the options given in this poll will ever influence Bryce Young’s future or the Panthers’ future. Drama edit I said that wrong, the lose option is really the one that is not realistic. They have made their decision already, pretty sure.

I think that’s fair. But that 5th year, he has to get two. Or ball out and win one and then play a great game but lose a heartbreaker, I would probably take that. But legit balling out. Playoff heroics and stuff.

This doesn’t even matter. In no reality will Bryce Young be gone if we lose this game, because of this poll. Or how we vote. And I won’t be hoping we lose. If we do somehow win it All I will bow down on my knees and apologize for doubting Bryce Young and all of his stans.

Ooohh I am a bad fan. Make it the Super Bowl instead of this week on that poll and after I quit laughing I will vote to win the game. And it isn‘t “don’t like” it is, he is third tier on a good day.

Nothing against KB but wonder how he would have done with this year’s team. I believe he had the easier path to those yards and TDs back there with that team and Cam. I do put stock into the one fewer game point, agreed. But there we are again, back to who is throwing him the ball. Guess I am saying, good job Tet. He sure looks to be a future beast. Some guys want to blame him for being a yes man. You take a job with a boss, you are a yes man unless it something morally objectionable that is beyond reason. If it is a business matter, you a yes man until either you are given autonomy or leave. And you will even say yes to getting autonomy, for that matter. The pressure from Tepper to fix Bryce and the offense had to have been immense. Overbearing. That is the guy that fired Reich because, among other extreme expectations, he couldn’t fix Bryce’s footwork in a week. And couldn’t sit him. Everyone used Brees as a comp so I wouldn’t put it past him being told ‘do what they did for Brees then, just get it done’. There is your OL overkill. I think the same pressure led to those first two draft picks. Most don’t, but it is what I think. He got more rope year two, off of that OL being ‘fixed’. Had more time to prepare, a bit of clarity from a year on the job in his pocket, and did what appears to be a great job. Trending up.

I agree. I almost never have a strong feeling about these games any more. Especially after 8 years of ineptitude. And though it is somewhat better this year, we still finished 1-3 in games that were close to elimination games. Excluding the Seattle loss. Going in on a 2 game losing streak. Bryce Young is our QB no clue ever what you are gonna get from him. I just can’t pick us to win. I will be working and may not be able to see but a little of it, effing Saturday game. We embarrassed the Rams last time. Thinking I might not miss much, real good chance it gets ugly.

I can picture the average Ravens fan now, seeing their coach fired in favor of the QB. Then seeing their MVP QB traded for Bryce effing Young. What could they have possibly done to deserve that?

I don’t believe we will win this game. I also don’t think losing it gets us a new starter next year. No matter how bad it is. But I want one and there is a button here I can click on that gets me one so what the hell, whatever it takes.

Seems to me that when teams can stop our run game and dare us to pass, if they can do that, Canales resists taking the bait. As long as the game is close. He will take three and outs and punt, before he will take an interception.

I wish this site nested the thread of posts and replies. I had to go back and find what you said that I responded to. I didn’t mean to belittle your statement or really argue about it, just kind of stating my general recall of how that game went. It would be nice if we had a QB that didn’t put us to sleep in the first half. Or dig a deep hole the team has to climb out of. Yeah. Anything can happen and I can visualize us jumping out with some completions and individual effort getting the YAC, if I squint real hard. But Canales will likely stick to the strategy of minimize the damage eat the clock and keep it close so that maybe we can steal another one at the end. 97 yards in 3 quarters again wouldn’t surprise me.

What a noble idea. Maybe you should get a coffee mug with that printed on it. So if your QB is Fasani, or Clausen, you gonna say that? My coffee mug says maybe a team needs a QB that doesn’t need all that poo. That can prop up the other guys. That isn’t a black hole sucking resources that might be better allocated to prop up the team.

I am not wanting to be too judgemental of Morgan over his first draft given the circumstances. People don’t like my rationale but you know, I don’t so much like theirs either. I was adamantly against drafting Bryce and very resentful over the extreme (imo) measures taken to prop him up. I feel like Dan got caught in that trap with demands or conditions placed on him to help out the QB and the new Offensive minded head coach. And my biased opinion is that it was still all Bryce centric. Micro managed and solely focused on making him a viable player after his first disastrous season. Mandated to help the offense in that draft. I feel like my speculation is reasonable given the climate and situation, and it includes the reasons we didn’t take a C, the reasons we overdrafted a RB and that particular WR. It was totally need based. Perceived needs. All to maximize Bryce. And if it were me, and I wanted the GM slot of my team that I came up with, I would be willing to accede to the agenda that I feel was in place. The goals he had to meet. It is pretty simple, just put Bryce’s needs at the center of everything that was done and work your way through it. I have no idea or inside info, and people have mocked my opinion for it but that is what it is, it still makes sense to me.

Yeah agreed. I am not expecting a repeat of that game. And am not optimistic. Only hopeful. Foolishly, probably.

I can’t say I know, having never worked in an NFL office as an assistent. I know that what I have been hired to do as an assistant or employee is to assist the person that hired me in implementing his decisions and carry out the duties of the day to day. I was rarely, no… I was occasionally consulted on a proposed decision or an issue and I would give my opinion. If they didn’t want to take my advice or counsel, I didn’t get to overrule them. I was paid to support them. Maybe I don’t know how life is in the big city but I wasn’t making decisions unless *I* were in charge. A good way to lose a job would be to not accept being overruled and keep pushing my point of view. I don’t how it was for Dan but I am holding him accountable for what has been done on his watch. Nothing else. Additionally, I understand that he has a boss to answer to.
