  1. He limits the playbook. Which limits the calls and the game planning. It is a handicap for the offensive staff. Anyone says he doesn’t isn’t being real.
  2. Running the ball is hard when the defense doesn’t have to respect the QBs arm. The only time, or a high percentage anyway, that Young can throw an accurate deeper ball is when he has space to do his little run up, make that extra step to get his body into it. He cannot make an arm only throw of any real velocity or distance, that I can see. Rattle him just a little and he forgets all about those mechanics and you will not see a foot planted in the ground in his throwing process. So he throws ducks, balls that take more time to reach the target, that stuff. Defenses can work with that. He has to burn somebody before they will respect it. He rarely does, the odds favor playing the defense like it is a really short field.
  3. I think they had to agree to be all in for two seasons, and that is why the 2024 draft went like it did. I really think the common sense picks at our slots were off the table because they wouldn’t immediately benefit him. The Brooks pick was strange but he is supposed to be so go at catching balls out of the backfield and I think they very much wanted that in the offense. If people recall, it was said he was expected to be ready for camp. I think. The center we needed, well look at Bryce try to set protections. I don’t think they wanted to rely on a rookie being a key man. Wallace was just a bad pick. Highest defensive pick in like three years then, and it was a mistake. I wasn’t against him then but his shortcomings were obvious last year when he got on the field. So wonder why the defense is so bad…. they took all the FA money and all the picks from the D for two years and when they did throw them a draft bone they he was a liability.
  4. He also has never played the third game so far.
  5. Yeah that bothered me. I hate chasing points which if miss the first one, that’s what usually happens.
  6. I have been unable to watch the games but if what I hear about lack of effort is correct I have no sympathy. I hate it, because I have family from that area and was pulling for him, but that doesn’t fly
  7. Miserable I will give you. But if you aren’t miserable after having to watch this college player fail for three years you are the weirdo.
  8. I feel you but we had a glimmer at the end of ‘22. Then we took Bryce.
  9. Although it seems Canales isn’t doing too good in general and may not have a chance to keep the job regardless….. Getting Young out of the way is the only chance he has at keeping his job and maybe getting a decent QB to work with.
  10. It is why he didn’t get the job. Offensive coach, top QB pick, Tepper had his heart set on it and nothing was going to interfere. Especially not a guy he couldn’t push around. Every player in the locker room wanted Wilks back.
  11. I expect Young to play better and the team to play better. Week one is something I refuse to give much weight to, going back to when we had 4 preseason games. All kinds of unpredictable outcomes happen week one. Seen it too many times to discount that. Since the 17 game schedule, I don’t pay much mind to results and how the units look until week 3. The units just need time to get the teamwork and timing together under real conditions. Not a series at 90% in preseason. That won’t do it. And it is hard to get around it. But Frank is right when he points to the difference in how the offense looks with an NFL level arm behind center. Seattle in 2023, Vegas in 2024, were just liberating for the passing game. This Bryce ball is no fun to watch unless he is having a day where everything is clicking. Which I think we saw one time. Out of 29. Meh.
  12. I think when they announced the schedule we were at 1pm Sunday all the way through.
  13. Throwing your insults around when your opinions are challenged. sophistication
  14. I have never moved a post. I assume you consider yourself sophisticated. Congratulations.
  15. I don't think it was Morgan that wanted him. Not that he didn't, just that the desire came from the guy that runs the offense. Also, people talk in historic terms, but we have new people making the evaluations and decisions. That we have only one draft to go by.
  16. That is on Bryce. Or should be. For me in my chair and people discussing it afterwards... So the party line now is, oh he is getting better every week. How long is that going to keep happening? When does it level off? Has it leveled off? Etc, is interesting to look at. It will be footwork, and durability, with his newfound courage to stand in and take hits, that I'll be watching.
  17. Saying I know, that makes me no smarter than others saying that they know when nobody knows 100%. Living on the type of margins Bryce operates on, that is just a volatile type of formula for success that I don't feel comfortable relying on. I mean, today should tell us more.
  18. I think they need to draft shot in the dark Qbs annually. Semi annually. Whenever you find them available to you.
  19. I hold the opinion that the people fired over Bryce Young are already gone. And the only way he gets Morgan fired is if we trade him (please) and he turns into enough to make us wish we hadn't let him go somewhere else.
  20. It affects the success/failure equation and we can understand that. Who did we even have the first game that Shaq and Jewel went down? I think we had another like A'Shawn or someone also out. It was impossible to stop an NFL team with what we had. I haven't followed them to know what games people missed and how it affected them but it affects t lose and it affects to get them back. Changes your team.
