I think there is some simpatico going on with that agency and ESPN to be honest. There is a concerted narrative push.

Because he is a disaster. He was getting no better at all. Hurting the team. But the FoMO is real, they want to try and fix him a little and see if he responds with better play, I guess.

If people want to put it all on the Panthers, let them if the price is right. If that is the plan.

Let me start asking YOU some stuff. You can answer and you can defend YOUR position. Bring it. What fuging difference does what an analyst says matter when the guy shows you who he is? Have you watched the 2024 film analysis from numerous independent sources and not ESPN? What did they have to say? The stuff is all over the place here . Warner. Chase Daniels. And what might it tell you that the dude that does QB school, did not even bother to make one for Young? But check his week one edition.

Well, give up or not, you paid big time for 4 years of control and the 5th year option. If you were certain he just was a drag on things you may not care about that but that isn't nothing. For one thing that should really attractive to a suitor, if there are any. And there are always suitors for QBs. The play is to have that Buffalo drive in an official game, even if it is just garbage time. I don't see non garbage time defenses giving him anything but if somehow you could get a matchup where he could look good then you stick him in there and hope he can look like more than he is. Maybe you can get a much better return. If they really think he is an NFL starter then no way they should trade him. I actually trust the staff to make that call.

You know what narratives. I shouldn't have to help you with this. They have been going on for a year about it isn't Bryce's fault. They use the same WR, OL bad coaching stuff. Never his fault always something else. poo is is all over this board and the media. Look I will agree with you when Bryce Young goes somewhere, wins the starting job, and proves it was never his fault.

At this point in time, who feels like we lost this trade?

Point is people were hammering people for saying truth, because it ruined your safe optimistic space. Whatever. -
'Too much' What's that? 'Too much change from Sunday to Monday' is an opinion my friend. An employee of some type stating their interpretation of how the thing went down. It might be right but it is a fact, that that is an opinion. Do you think she was getting her Hunger Games plot from players or people in the building, that are on the Panthers staff? I think her contacts are media types, people that work in the building and hear stuff. Could it have been a couple of fired coaches and cut players for that Hunger Games? Yeah could be that too. But she got her intel from people on the inside somewhere, and my guess is that is where it is coming from this time, in the building, without someone specifically saying what their role is. Could even be Gantt, easily.

Darnold didn't ball out in SF which was his next stop. 2 games now. I think he is gonna be fine though. Mayfield, well he went to work with Canales, and did well. The same guy that just stored Bryce in his garage with the golf clubs and fishing rods.

I just read that article. In regards to Tepper being the instigator, the article just says "even people on the Panthers". Doesn't say players. And what they said was "Too much change from Sunday to Monday". It's no more than an opinion of an employee. We don't know what they know. Though, as far as I am concerned whoever made the call to pull him, it is the right call. Wish they could have been that smart a year and a half ago.

Whatever we get, it will be more than he will be worth as an NFL QB. I'd like to get another QB.

I have some posts in here, but had to re register after this thread, not sure when. Each post by stratocatter is me. I had different devices and somehow couldn't get a password reset. It is pretty easy to figure out. stratocatter to strato. I doubt I could tell you the better pick or who wouldn't make it in the NFL between two really similar NFL prototype prospects, because it is not easy. I didn't know Stroud would be THAT good that quick. Bryce, that was easy. College vs NFL is a real thing. He is not NFL. That's enough to judge him on, you can stop there and save yourself some time because nothing else matters if you don't have that athleticism. -
I won’t say I loved it, for the reason that much of it seemed tailored to Bryce. But I understood it. I certainly had no issue with drafting looking ahead vs immediate gratification. Lack of patience has really been a problem. Also I just never was able to believe that Bryce was going to end up being worth all that plus they were trashing the defense to get it done.

Yeah that is all I meant. With the added it will suck hard again. He is coming back in if that happens. He is being paid a king’s ransom to play quarterback for the Panthers. I guess people will blame Dalton getting hurt on Tepper somehow. And anybody that has read my posts will know I am no fan of Tepper.

This is ridiculous from the stand point the it is commonly done all the time. Tell me you never heard any other coach or owner or GM say this about a player or a manager and the next or a few days later they fire them. Release them. Also, you seem to believe that Canales personally told Bryce after the game that he was still the starter. 1st I would doubt that. Second what evidence? And not to your post but the general thing with Tepper. Is it possible they all agree? I can see Tepper making the call and Canales going Thank You. Not the first time I said this but it fits: there is plenty of Bad Tepper to hold against him, a mountain, that it is unnecessary to just create reasons to be pissed off at him.

I have banged hard on the idea that there is no way a guy who played QB for years and stayed in as a coach, would sign off on an outlier with those mechanics. I just will not believe it.

GOAT? Completely overlooking Neil Diamond. I am definitely kidding about Neil. So unless you go to both nights, you only get half the hits. Good plan by them.

I am going to snip out what I wanted to respond to in your post" You are saying that the same coaches are supposed to produce as good or better defense, and that the team did not give Young the help he needs. This is after an offseason where the defense has been plundered and made an into an afterthought, in the name of helping Bryce Young/the offense. What am I missing?

Panthers need to move on from Young ASAP

38 seconds in tells me he is full of poo and is spinning for clicks. You know how they say in court, where if they lie once you can assume they are lying always? To me Riddick is doing a pretty spiteful thing I think, by putting those words in someone's mouth. Unless he knows that is true. Which I doubt. An honest person would not have said that to Tepper, so he basically assaulting Canales. It is not Canales' fault that Young will not adhere to the the coaching he was obviously given. And of course I am referring to that Buffalo series and the very noticeable footwork change. Evidence that he had the opportunity to be a better player but reverted to his wonky ass 'techniques'. Because it is fuging hard not to. But that is still on Young for not getting that done. And unless he gets it done he is just a fraud. A wannabe NFL quarterback, playing at it. I mean NFL quarterbacks are kicking his ass, even the rookies. If he works to change this steadily he may be able to get it ingrained in a couple more months. That is as optimistic as I can be for him. Riddick though, I don't don't listen to sports talk any more except what youtube clips I like but I used to think pretty highly of him. This is pretty sad, to see this scapegoating. I can put words into Canales mouth too: "Mr Tepper, I have a pretty good feel for working with these guys, and have had some luck with it. You know Baker pretty well. That's my work with him. But I have to be honest, I'm not sure i can promise I can fix Bryce. He has many challenges. There are things we can do to help but so much of it is up to him. If he is willing to listen and work, I am sure we can make him a better QB. How good will be up to him." blah blah blah blah
