  1. I like it. Winning your division should get you an automatic bid but not an automatic home playoff game. That's just too much IMO. You shouldn't be rewarded that much for being the best team in a bad division nor punished for being the second (or even third) best team in a better division.
  2. Its just time to accept that top 10 type prospects are highly unlikely to workout at the Combine. It has very much become the norm. I don't like it either but it is what it is. The days of seeing the Cam Newtons and Julius Peppers doing the full battery of workouts like the old days are over.
  3. I get that his first two seasons were just okay for a high 1st round draft pick but his QB situation was also hot garbage. QB play was better this year and he played like a bonafide WR1.
  4. Hell, I'm fine with him being Drake London. 100 catches for nearly 1300 yards and 9 TDs? Yeah, sign me up for that.
  5. I hope so and honestly I think the Panthers expect it. They seem to really be pushing him in terms of their PR efforts this off-season. XL is seemingly everywhere and all over the social media feeds way more so than any other Panther.
  6. We didn't win because our few great players weren't greater, not because of the overall unbalance of the roster and mediocre coaching. Got it. LOL
  7. No Luke doesn't and no Cam doesn't. We didn't have back to back winning seasons because we were trash at OT, we were trash at WR, we were trash in the secondary other than Josh Norman. Guys like Cam, and Luke, and TD, and Olsen, and Josh Norman were band aiding together and overall trash roster. We just had enough really good guys to make it somewhat work as long as all the key guys remained healthy and the coaching staff wasn't helping. They were getting dragged along too.
  8. The sooner she's out of Chapel Hill the better. Don't care what it is.
  9. Yeah, the lottery in concept is a good idea to prevent tanking. In reality, it's created a lot of controversy for the NBA because of the perception of rigging the system for outcomes desirable for the league.
  10. You're not understanding what I'm saying. I'm saying that truly elite players will always have a market because they're elite difference makers and that at the "devalued positions" the NFL has discovered that those are spots where unless you have an elite talent there you have an opportunity to get similar results out of run of the mill talent for run of the mill money compared to good talent for good money. The drop off in overall unit performance isn't dramatic dropping down from "good" to "JAG" and it saves money to invest in the premium positions. It's about skill sets and what is hardest to find, simple supply and demand. There's just more serviceable LBs and RBs and safeties out there than their are CBs and pass rushers and QBs. And honestly, a big part of our historic lack of consistent success has been investing too many premium draft and cap resources into those devalued positions. Yeah, we've had a lot of great off the ball LBs and RBs on our way to be a franchise with an overall losing record. Pointing to our success at those positions is proving my point because I just point to our W-L record and overall lack of historical quality at premium positions like QB, WR, CB, etc. We've sucked in large part because we've valued the wrong position groups. In a vacuum it doesn't matter. But in actuality every high pick or big chunk of cap you spend on an off the ball LB or RB or IOL is a high pick or big chunk of cap you couldn't spend on a QB or CB or WR or OT.
  11. I'm just saying, the NFL has figured out that you can get by with serviceable off ball LBs behind good DLs. There's always going to be a market for elite guys at every potion but there are certain positions (off ball LB, safety, IOL, RB) where if you don't have an elite guy, the dropoff in terms sof impact on overall unit performance between good and average isn't that big so don't pay for good when average is the far better bargain.
  12. I like how you're just completely glossing over our DL situation last year to attempt to drive home your preferred narrative. LOL A lot fewer RBs and off the ball LBs get drafted in the first round and land big money deals in the modern NFL. Get triggered by the word "devalued" if you want, but reality is reality.
  13. Well, that explains why the Lakers were able to get Luka for so cheap. The NBA was throwing in Cooper Flagg on the back end. LOL
  14. He isn't "reporting" anything. He's just throwing mud at the wall based on nothing else other than the date the buyout amount dramatically drops. That's it. That's his whole "report". This isn't reporting. It's forum poo posting published by The Sporting News.
  15. Based on literally nothing except the date of his buy out dropping from $10M to $1M. This date was why everyone said he was going to be bolting to the NFL before training camp started when he first took the job. The whole situation with his 24 year old GF is a poo show but we're just going to have to see how it all plays out. Fringe media guys are just throwing mud at the wall hoping something will stick knowing no one will remember the buckets they slung that didn't. That's media in a nutshell in 2025.
  16. I mean, they drafted Tyler Shough 8 picks into the 2nd round. I think it just says they didn't see value at QB in the top 10 nor value trying to trade up to land Dart. Meanwhile, Tyler Shough... https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18pNUkJUvv/ LOLOLOLOL
  17. I think we got great value on Scourton we owe TAMU a thank you for misusing him and hurting his draft value. He looked like a 1st rounder for sure and potentially a high 1st rounder playing lighter at Purdue.
  18. Yeah, I think he's gonna be a player I'm just not sure if he'll ever be the type of player you're hoping for out of a top 10 pick.
  19. Meh... he's just motivating himself. Plenty of guys who fall in the draft do this. I never fault a draft prospect for trying to get drafted as highly as possible, I mean that's your job in the moment as a draft prospect. Your analogy doesn't work because the dealership (maybe the individual salesman, maybe not) was trying to to obscure information. Johnson went through all the pre-draft medical checks. He wasn't hiding anything.
  20. Im hopeful for him For a mid-round rookie behind a trash DL I thought he showed decent promise.
  21. The preference for smallish NTs was bizarre to me. I mean, you're already looking for a bit of a unicorn with a NT anyway trying to find a guy who can consistently hold his ground against double teams. Now you want to find a smaller, quicker guy who can do it? Yeah, good luck with that...
  22. I saw numerous reports leading up to the draft that he'd been injury red flagged by numerous teams due to cartilage damage and wear issues that they think could shorten his career.
  23. Yeah, definitely not writing him off but when it sounded like we might have a shot at him and I started watching clips it was Grant who kept jumping off the screen.
