  1. Yeah, a lot of people seem hung up on CMC being involved in the deal but honestly, I'd be more upset about Burns being in the deal. CMC is a helluva player, but elite pass rushers are more valuable than elite RBs and Burns has three more years on his rookie deal. All of that adds up to him probably having more trade value than CMC.
  2. What's the likely trade ammo it's gonna take? I LOVE the idea of landing Watson, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm apprehensive of what we might have to give up.
  3. Paradis was decent last year. I think we keep him. I also think we draft at least two OL and possibly three.
  4. This is the thought process that led us to Teddy. Just sayin'.
  5. It's more about the long-term than the short-term IMO. A team like the Dolphins or Niners could give up a ton of draft capital and still field a very good team... for a little while. But if you make that trade that was suggested for the Niners giving up 1sts and 2nds for the next three years, yeah that's gonna create a serious talent void in future years that you're gonna be feeling for awhile.
  6. If we can get Stafford for a 2nd then hell yeah. That would be a STEAL. I like Pitts a lot, but in that scenario I'm taking Darrisaw if we have him evaluated as a legit NFL LT. We'd like to have a TE, but we NEED a LT. And in terms of positional value, LT >>>>> TE.
  7. Honestly, I can't see it. He's a backup QB but he's paid too much to be a backup.
  8. I'd hate to give up three 1sts, but if it meant keeping CMC while also unloading Teddy and his contracts and picking up some mid-round draft capital in exchange it wouldn't be the worst possible thing. I just don't think Houston is going to have any interest in Teddy. I mean, just look what Teddy has done to this fanbase. Now imagine if we had moved on from Cam in his prime to replace him with Teddy. That's basically what the Texans would be doing. Oh wee mayne.
  9. I absolutely think the Jets are a player. But I agree that if Miami wants in the game they're a STRONG contender. I think those two are by far the best bets, but we have that outside chance due to being able to offer established star power in CMC, plus a top 10 pick this year, plus being a non-AFC team. That's our best bet, if Houston is balking at AFC teams.
  10. I don't think there's anything low key about the Bears' historical mismanagement of the QB position. Just ask any Bears fan. It's THE thing that has held them back as a franchise.
  11. Yep. If the Texans have to move on from Watson they need to replace him with other star power or potential star power. Wilson would fit the bill. It's why I think we have an outside chance being able to dangle CMC. That'd be instant star power and they could still land a guy like Lance at #8. That'd be interesting on the Huddle too... we'd instantly have a glimpse into what might've been with the pairing of Lance and CMC in Houston. Honestly though, I think us landing Watson is a pipedream unless Carolina is THE place he wants to go and there's no indication of that being the case.
  12. Winter golf. That's it. Though I do like Huntington Beach just south of Myrtle but yeah, that's a totally different vibe than Myrtle proper.
  13. Yeah, it sucks. Hence why we bailed. I really hoped to last a bit longer because we weren't quite ready to make the move to the western slope but once the uncertainty of the pandemic hit it was time to go. Market was still hot despite the uncertainty so we cashed in our chips and bounced.
  14. We're going back probably late this year/early next year but we'll go western slope. I'm completely over the Front Range. Evergreen turned into a completely different place. Like the worst possible combination of Cherry Creek and Boulder. Geographically perfect, but with the worst mix of humanity. If I had to stay in the Denver metro area, I'd go Conifer but it's only about 5 years or so trailing behind Evergreen.
  15. I'm sure the Texans would prefer to move him out of the AFC, but if the Jets have a better offer, moving him to a non-divisional AFC team wouldn't be a terrible option. Miami is the only other team that has that type of draft ammo and...they're also in the AFC.
  16. My issue with Charlotte is the same issue I have with Denver (lived in Evergreen for 14 years up until selling last June), the team facilities are on the opposite side of town from everywhere I'd actually want to live.
  17. Yeah, if Watson wants to go to the Jets it's a wrap. They're one of the teams best positioned with trade ammo.
