LOL! No. Our CBs played very little underneath because we were primarily a cover 3 team.
-
We ran some cover 2 looks. Every team does. But cover 2 was never our primary base scheme.
-
We never ran a Tampa 2 under Rivera. Our defense was primarily built around cover 3 concepts.

Like Aaron Curry was? That type of sure fire baller? Best overall player in the draft, right? Safest player in the draft, right? I mean, that's what everyone said leading up to the draft. People really need to get past this "sure thing" stuff. There are no sure things in the draft.

Yeah, I wouldn't argue too hard against simply saying RBs as a whole should be on the "not in the top 10" list.
-
Bingo. There's certain positions that should pretty much just be off the board in the top 10. Interior OL, in the box safeties, two down players (think RBs who aren't receiving threats or our run stopping DL), and yeah non-pass rushing LBs are there too. Sure, if you get a Luke caliber player the pick will prove worth it but you can't count on a guy being a GOAT level player.

Yeah, you can say that about everything. That's the point. Nothing happens in a vacuum. Every choice you make requires sacrifice elsewhere.

Literally everything else. That's what opportunity cost is.

Supposedly. That dude made a lot of claims about a lot of people. Whether there's any truth to any of it is debatable.

This is what I was talking about. Most fans can't grasp the concept of opportunity costs. Nothing happens in a vacuum. It isn't just about the draft. It's about the big picture. Don't feel bad though, Marty Hurney was a long-term NFL GM and he couldn't grasp it either.
