Watching these LB field drills you'd swear half these guys were safeties. They don't move like the LBers of old.
-
London Fletcher was another great LB in the modern NFL and he was 5'10". He was a UDFA, probably in large part because he was 5'10". Bobby Wagner is a whole one inch taller than Winters at 6' even.
-
It's a good year to be wanting for a fast LB. There's a sub 4.4 guy. There's five sub 4.5 guys. There's 11 sub 4.6 guys. There's 15 sub 4.65 guys. That's wild. Luke, TD, and Shaq would be middle of the pack 40 guys in this group. It seems pretty obvious that the modern day LB is becoming more like an old school SS than the LBers of yesteryear. Overall they're getting smaller and faster. 6'2" 230 4.5 is becoming the new standard when it used to be 6'4" 250" 4.7.

If he was ideal size he wouldn't be projected as a mid-round pick. I honestly don't want an off the ball LB in the 1st or 2nd so I'm not looking at guys who check all the boxes. Wishing a guy was a couple of inches taller isn't a big knock in my book. Meanwhile, his official time came in at 4.49. I'll take ideal speed over ideal height all day everyday.

Sign me up for Dee Winters. My only real question was his speed. He ran sub-4.6 on both runs. He's fast.
-
Quite a few LBs coming in sub-4.6. Finding a "fast LB" in the draft shouldn't be too difficult.
-
Pappoe 4.46 on his second run. He definitely checks the fast box.
-
Duke LB Shaka Heyward with a 4.58 and 4.59. He's projected somewhere in the neighborhood of the 5th round. Might be one to keep an eye on.
-
Dee Winters with a 4.58 Hmmmm....

I've bashed the poo out of Sam Darnold but I honestly would not mind him at all in a backup role. Seems like a good dude. Seems like a good teammate. He can play well in spurts but struggles with consistency over the long haul. Sounds like a solid backup QB to me.

Trenton Simpson 4.50 Nice

Will Anderson with a relatively pedestrian 4.69 for a guy with #1 overall talk.

The TX LB Overshown is a guy I have my eye on in the midrounds. Curious to see how he looks.

In-Depth Film Evaluation on QB Anthony Richardson
LinvilleGorge replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
Because the drop off after them is steep. -
Shaq Thompson being discussed as a top candidate in the NFL to be a cap casualty.

They won't stop gushing about how impressive it was that Nolan Smith was upset with himself about his 4.44 40 time. Can you believe it? He ran 4.44 and he's UPSET about it! Wow!!! Meanwhile, no one wants to mention that he sat on that time. He elected not to take his second run. So was he REALLY disappointed? LOL! 4.44 is FLYING, but I can do without the theater. If you're truly disappointed, run again.

Charlie Campbell: Panthers love Bijan Robinson

If Fitterer tries to draft a RB in the top 10 after trading away CMC he should be fired on the spot. Dan Morgan, your pick.- 62 replies

Agreed with all of this, except I loved Nirvana. I honestly wasn't a big fan of Nevermind. It just felt way overproduced to the point that it was no longer Nirvana. It was what a marketing machine would want Nirvana to be. Bleach and In Utero were their best studio albums and both From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah and Unplugged were GREAT live albums capturing the two extremes that they were capable of. And yeah, Blind Melon was fuging awesome. "Change" is one of my favorite '90s songs, period. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains were clearly the cream of the crop of the grunge era, but STP honestly wasn't far behind and may have closed the gap even more had Weiland not gone drug riddled insane and tried to transform himself into David Bowie.

I'm not sure if Duggan is an NFL QB at all. I'll be shocked if he's ever anything more than a backup. -
It blows my mind that people watch anything on ESPN other than live sports. All that other poo is like The View, but for washed up former HS jocks.
-
I would be absolutely shocked if we both traded up to draft a QB AND signed Derek Carr. I definitely think those two scenarios are either or.
