  1. Tepper's problem isn't that he doesn't care. Hell, we might be better off if he didn't. The problem is that he DOES care but he's incompetent and clueless as to how to run a football organization.
  2. Yes we do. That's Rhule, Fitts, and Tepper right there displaying the culture in all of it's glory.
  3. It is where it's been - in the toilet. I just hope this is the moment of clarity.
  4. I like him because he played well at LT in college, played the best of our bad options at LT last year, and he's on a cheap rookie contract. If we don't sign a legit FA or draft an OT at #6 if we retain that pick he should walk into TC next year with the starting LT spot his to lose.
  5. Maybe but I'm not certain. Hell, I'd take 24k gold plated after the trash we've been fielding at LT for years.
  6. Well, he does have a decade plus of NFL coaching experience so at least there's that. He was a grad assistant at Temple but that was well before Rhule's days there. Kinda odd to have a former NFL HC on the staff and not have him be in this role but I've always assumed these types of titles are basically just that - titles. Maybe it'll help out his resume but I'm not sure it comes with much or any more sway inside the organization.
  7. I'm oddly hopeful about our OL next year. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's going to be great and probably not even good. But with the signing of a legit OG I think we could play Christensen at LT and immediately field an improved OL. Depth would still be razor thin and we'd be a key injury or two from another poo show on the OL, but the starting lineup could feasibly at least be run of the mill below average instead of a total dumpster fire. I would also expect OL at #6 if we retained that pick.
  8. Is it hard to see that a poster with less than 100 posts is trying to pick a fight with every one of them. I literally just quoted his most recent fight picking reply. See you tomorrow too, by the way.
  9. An old HS buddy of mine started a barbershop in town awhile back. Popped in this morning to get a trim. Hadn't seen the dude in literally 20+ years. Anyway, it's early in the morning and I'm the only one in the shop so we're cuttin' up like old times. I've been gone from my hometown for the better part of the past 20+ years. College in VA. Bounced around to MD, Huntersville, and Charleston for a few years. Moved to Colorado for 14 years. Moved back to my hometown roughly a year and a half ago but COVID and having a wife and kids have kinda put a damper on catching up with a lot of folks. I've hung out with a couple of my tight buddies that I've stayed in touch with over the years but that's literally two people and it's tough coordinating with them because we all have wives who don't know each other and kids of pretty wildly varying ages. We basically just grab the occasional beer. The rest have moved away or just MIA. Well, this was my first chance to catch up with a good buddy who has stayed in town and stayed social not having a wife and kids. We start talking about various people from back in the day and there was a lot of "Yeah, they're married with kids and pretty much just homebodies these day" or "I think they moved away and I haven't heard from them". Normal stuff. But holy poo there was a lot of "Overdose, dead" and "junkie" and "crackhead" and "basically a zombie, brain is fried" and "prison" responses when going down the list of folks I'd wondered what had become of them. It was good catching up with an old buddy but a bit depressing to find out the downfall of a lot of folks from back in the day. And yeah, I used to be wild as hell back in the day.
  10. My patience for new accounts that are just trolling and looking to pick fights is zero right now. Just FYI. Enjoy the rest of the day off.
  11. Honestly I don't either. He made huge strides in '20 and was saddled with limiting injuries last year. His stats for the 11-5 2020 Browns aren't that far off from Watson's stats when the Texans were competitive. Mayfield: 305/486 (63%) for 3562 yards (7.3 y/a) and 26 TDs vs. 8 INTs Watson: 345/505 (68%) for 4165 yards (8.2 y/a) and 26 TDs vs. 9 INTs 333/495 (67%) for 3852 yards (7.8 y/a) and 26 TDs vs. 12 INTs Honestly, if Mayfield bounces back the Browns are going to really regret this flirtation with Watson that looks to have Mayfield filing for divorce.
  12. That wouldn't be a competition. I get it, you can't be excited for Mayfield after over a year of hoping for Watson but Mayfield is leaps and bounds better than Darnold. But if you're entertaining trading for and potentially extending Mayfield, you should really just draft Sam Howell.
  13. As it should be. I have to imagine our paths forward diverge quite a bit whether or not we have Deshaun Watson. At least they should. With this clown show though, who really knows?
  14. One would think. Sure seems like none of his business acumen has translated. We might have the Courtney Brown of NFL owners. The absolute can't miss home run slam dunk prospect who busts hard anyway.
  15. If SB wins are the only thing that matter then the Panthers have literally achieved nothing in their entire existence.
  16. Just saying. Don't be throwing shade at how another organization is ran when you're throwing from a clown car.
  17. The Saints have been expert cap manipulators for years. We do the same poo, they're just a lot better at it than we are.
  18. That's fair but I'd rather draft Howell on a rookie contract than move on Mayfield.
  19. He has virtually the same physical measurements as Drew Brees too. Would you consider him comparable to Brees? Using physical measurements alone to draw a comparison is laughable. They aren't comparable players.
