Report: Harbaugh might be tempted to go back to NFL
LinvilleGorge replied to SuperBowlBound's topic in Carolina Panthers
And we're not exactly a situation setup for quick initial success. Without that, the "coming off the rails" part of the process might be expedited. -
Report: Harbaugh might be tempted to go back to NFL
LinvilleGorge replied to SuperBowlBound's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe he learned from his first go round. I don't know. I'd prefer to look elsewhere but I won't deny that Harbaugh would be a massive upgrade over Matt Rhule. It might just go off the rails in 3-4 years when he wears out his welcome as he is prone to do. -
Brady Christensen scores highest ratings of the season at LT again.
LinvilleGorge replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
This. IF we have an answer on the roster at LT, it's Christensen. He's been by far the best LT we've put on the field and he's a rookie who played very well as a LT throughout his college career. It's a no brainer to have been playing him there for most of the season. BUT... Fatt Rhule decided his arms were too short so he's only played him there when absolutely forced to do so. This is the downfall of analytics. When you're so beholden to them that you can't see past them. Sure, analytics say Christensen is best suited at OG. Who cares? Every draft class, only the very elite of elite OT prospects are considered LT prospects. Everyone else gets labeled a RT or someone who will have to kick inside to OG at the NFL level. It happens every year without fail. None of it matters once they're on an NFL roster. Put them on the field and figure it out. Our coaches can't do that. They stick with their initial evaluation no matter what and that's why they're fuging morons. We SHOULD have a good sample size of Christensen at LT to study between now and the draft but instead we'll have to rely on much less because our coaches are fuging dumb. -
WFT to announce new name 2/2/22
LinvilleGorge replied to Panthers Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don't bother reporting this post. He's already banned. We've already exceeded our quota for political trolls. -
Yep. Sam Darnold is just not a good QB. He's a guy who has the physical attributes of a good QB but he just doesn't have it mentally. I'm not calling him dumb by the way. I honestly don't think that there's a huge correlation between intelligence and football IQ. Obviously, it's going to be hard to be a QB grasping an NFL playbook and reading defenses, making checks, etc. if you're a mouth breathing moron but you don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar either. Some don't handle the pressure well. Some people can't process quickly enough when the ball is snapped and that's not really intelligence related. That's a lack of instinct because if you're thinking after the ball is snapped you're going to be too slow. To be fast enough you have to be running on instinct at that point. I just think Darnold lacks the instincts.

Damn it. Beat me by a second.

Can he play OG?

Darnold has been the worst starting QB in the NFL during the time period in which he has been in the NFL. That's just the truth. But that wasn't enough to keep Fatt Rhule from trading valuable assets for him and then doubling down on his idiocy by picking up his fifth year option. Brilliant
-
For most NFL teams. Not for Fatt Rhule's Panthers.
-
Fifteen straight winning seasons and we're still looking for our first back to back winning seasons. Hell, right now simply getting another one at some point feels like a pipedream.
-
Versatility is rarely a good thing at the NFL level. It's hard enough to be good at one particular position. "Versatility" usually just means you kinda suck but you can kinda suck at multiple positions hopefully not while being a massive liability.
-
Another year of Rhule would only set the organization back even further as he would know he's on the hot seat and he'd get desperate. We've already see the incredibly dumb moves he makes when he isn't desperate, now add a heaping helping of good old fashioned desperation to the mix and you can only imagine the damage he'd do.

Dan Morgan was great, injuries just derailed him. Ricky Williams was great, he just loved weed more than football. Agreed on Justin Blackmon. I thought that dude was gonna be a stud. He was basically Keary Colbert though. Decent rookie season then... basically nothing. I think he was a really bad alcoholic or something along those lines.

It's crazy that just 6-7 years ago we had probably the best IOL in the NFL. Yeah our tackles kinda sucked but an our IOL was GOOD.
-
I'm openly rooting for him to make as many blatantly idiotic decisions as possible and for the Panthers to utterly embarrass themselves on the field and on the mic and I'll continue to do so for as long as that clown Rhule is here. All hope is lost as long as that guy is on charge.
-
I said a couple of weeks ago that I won't watch anymore Rhule coached Panthers football and I mean that. This organization is going nowhere as long as that clown is in charge.

An OG can't weigh more than 330 pounds. Deonte stepped on the scale this morning at 330.25 pounds. Brady won't play LT moving forward because his arms are a half inch too short to play LT. Erving's longer arms automatically make him a much better LT. You can't see that and I apologize, but it's working 1000%. We're going to focus on finding a QB really good at breaking tackles.

The Bucs won't rest starters, will play to win
LinvilleGorge replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't even remember what it's like to be in a situation not to be rooting for draft position late in the season (or by Halloween for that matter). -
I think that nothing else matters as long as these morons are calling the shots. We're a doormat and laughing stock for as long as the Rhule error continues.
-
For the love of god, please fire this man.
-
Hell, based on everyone else we've played at RG, Deonte Brown would at least be a larger traffic cone to run around. That's about all these other scrubs have amounted to.
-
THIS. Our OL sucked balls all year. We had two drafted rookies. One of whom was easily the best LT we put on the field yet he only played there when he was basically the only option left. The other still hasn't seen the field.
