  1. Honestly, this might be best for everyone involved. It's just not working out for Rhule at the NFL level but he built two competitive programs out of schools that aren't traditional powerhouses to say the least. With the clout of Penn State behind him he might be able to build a legit contender. Then the Panthers can start over. Again. The question becomes then does Fitterer stay or go? I haven't seen much to hang my hat on him definitely staying.
  2. No, I wanted to give credit to the original thread starter.
  3. Except that he's still playing at a high level despite this. People are getting distracted right now because the Heels are a massive disappointment. They were a top 10 team that turned out to be very mediocre. But watch the player. The player is still elite. The team overall just wasn't what was expected.
  4. This is the hardest thing about being a pro sports fan. At some point, losing is actually in your best interests due to draft order. At least when you're rooting for a college team you can always root for your team to win. There's no competitive advantage to losing. There is in the NFL if you're not playoffs bound.
  5. It's hard to envision this team winning another game right now. We just got blown out by a previously one win team missing half of it's offense. Now this whole Watson debacle admitting that we're in panic mode at QB? Oh wee mayne. Not sure if Rhule and company will ultimately survive this. Even if they do I'm not sure they SHOULD.
  6. Yep. Stafford had a really good option. Watson is saying that a 1-6 Dolphins team still looks like a better option than us.
  7. Or Watson actually watched our last two games and heard Rhule practically threaten to fire his OC.
  8. Nothing has changed recently about his legal situation since it was reported that Watson would waive his no trade clause for us Everything has changed about the outlook of our organization since then. Connect the dots.
  9. Bingo. We just openly waived the sheer panic flag and now we're not even doing a good job of handling the PR aspect letting him come out that we didn't bow out, we were told no by Watson. Oh wee mayne. I'd say our season spirals out of control from here, but we were already in a tailspin with the ground fast approaching anyway.
  10. You know what looks way worse than trading for someone in Watson's situation? Desperately TRYING to trade for someone in Watson's situation and having him look at your situation and saying, "Yeah, I might be facing 20+ accusations of sexual, but that's still a helluva lot better than suiting up at QB for y'all right now." I'm just laughing to keep from crying. We're a fuging dumpster fire y'all.
  11. He had. Them this season kicked off and it became very clear that this organization is a poo show right now. The OL is trash, the overall offense is entirely broken, and Rhule is making comments indicating that the OC's job might be in jeopardy. I can't blame any QB for looking at this situation and opting out. We might be the worst situation in the entire league for a QB to walk into right now. Well, except for the Bears. So #31.
  12. Bingo. I've been saying it for awhile. Good veteran QBs with other options are gonna choose another option. We're basically the late stage Al Davis Raiders at this point. The only "high level" vets we're going to get are going to have to be passed their prime with limited options and we're still going to have to overpay to the point of comedy.
  13. That's not us being out. That's him saying no. That's a very key distinction. Ultimately the same end result, but the optics are very different.
  14. Winning culture... That's what Rhule sold Tepper on. How's it looking? The best way to build a winning culture is to build a winning roster. This roster we've assembled... oh wee mayne. Good thing we've gutted our draft capital to build it.
  15. Teddy was as good as gone once he threw the staff under the bus on that miss to DJ wide open in the endzone.
  16. That's the thing. There are very few QBs who come into the league truly ready to play day one and even the ones who do need a decent situation to shine or else they struggle early on. The Cam situations where a guy walks into a poo show and Supermans his way into good play despite having some clear flaws as an NFL QB are super rare. There will likely be a good QB or two come out of this class. Everyone is overlooking the reality that Howell is now behind a pitiful OL, with JAGs at RB, and only one competent WR and he's basically Supermanning his way into good play despite this. I really don't think most of these "analysts" actually watch the games.
  17. Little did you know when you ditched the Jets to become a Panther you were jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
  18. My grandfather with one of his racecars. This was back in the days when racecars were basically just bootleg runners with a number on the side. poo was real back then. I can still remember Harry Gant randomly stopping by to catch up with grandpa back when I was a kid. My grandmother made him stop racing after my mom was born. Her nerves just couldn't take it. She never saw him race. She'd hide in the restroom. The old timers all say he was the best they ever saw.
  19. This year? They got us a bust of a QB in Sam Darnold who the Jets had given up on and a head case of a CB shove who the Jags had given up on.
  20. The only way we should trade for Tua is if we think he's the answer. If the Dolphins trade for Watson, they clearly don't. How's going after guys who other teams have decided weren't the answer been working out for us the past couple of years?
  21. Yep. Any mention or possible mention of Howell and here you come. LOL!
  22. Yep. I caught flack for that. Flack for saying Teddy would be trash. Flack for saying Darnold would be trash. Flack for saying these OL signings would be trash. Flack for pointing out that Rhule never beat any actually good teams in college.
