Yep, Cam throws a very good deep ball, we just had no one to go get them last year. I think people underestimate just how big it is for us to get Ginn back. Not only for returns, but also as a WR. I'm not trying to oversell Ginn as a WR. He's never going to be a great WR, but the one thing he does well as a WR is the biggest thing our WR corps lacked last year. I do think that we're looking for a field stretcher to pair with KB. I really, really, REALLY like Jaelen Strong, but I think we're probably looking for a guy like the above mentioned Devin Smith to put opposite KB.

Uh... I don't want to trade for him. -

Mark Barron was the #7 overall pick in the draft and was traded after two seasons for a 4th rounder. The Texans have had a coaching change since Swearinger was drafted. He may not fit into what O'Brien wants to do. -

He's not what Rivera wants in a SS. Look at the two SS prospects we've brought in for visits - Landon Collins and Jaquiski Tartt. We brought in Zeke Motta (6'2" 216) and Jonathan Cyprien (6' 217) in 2013. I think Rivera wants a big thumper at SS. -
Yep, trading up toward the top end of the draft is very costly and Fowler has been described by some knowledgeable people as the biggest boom/bust prospect in this draft.

Thinking about quitting is thinking about quitting. You either have quit in you or you don't.

Star was about to quit football too. http://www.ksl.com/?sid=21407138

I don't know. I really, really like Strong.

I feel good about any WR we take simply because I have faith in Proehl. We're not taking a WR that Proehl doesn't really like.

Not sure the Ravens would be willing to take a head case like Peters after just recently getting drug through the mud with the Ray Rice situation.

McShay loves it too. Both he and Polian think he's perfect fit for Cam.
-
He picked Devin Smith. Polian loves it.

If the draft fell this way, I'd pick La'el Collins with no hesitation.

This mock is insanely accurate. Just came across that the Panther's pick is in and... they go to commercial. LOL!

I like GD a lot. I was just trying to stick with the really small, off the map type places that you either can't buy in the store or that have very limited distribution. Yeah man, we may have to hit up a preseason game. I used to go to all the Broncos home games. Got free suite tickets from work. They had a suite in Mile High for some reason and I was the only employee actually based full-time here in CO. So, unless some big wig was coming into town, the tickets were mine.

Yeah, the Williams duo in Minnesota was a prototype 3 tech/1 tech 4-3 DT pairing. I think we might have ourselves one here in Carolina with Star and Short.

Cooks' final season in college: 128 catches for 1730 yards and 16 TDs, he added another 217 yards and 2 TDs rushing Dorsett last season: 36 catches for 871 yards and 10 TDs Stats aren't everything and two totally different systems, but yeah, I can fully understand why people were a lot more excited about Cooks than Dorsett.

Let me show you how nonviolent I am by whooping your ass!

Overall, I don't think you are. But when it comes to the WR position specifically... yeah, you're carrying that torch.
-
I would say the same about you. We just had a rookie WR who had 1000 receiving yards and was one of only 11 rookie WRs in the last 20 yeas to surpass that mark. He was ranked #19 in the NFL among WRs in receiving yards, #12 in TDs, #26 in most 20+ yard plays, #22 in yards per game, and #18 in 1st downs yet you want to act like he's hot trash. Yeah, you're back pedaling hard right now, but your initial statement was that KB was "gigantic, slow, and had a huge case of the dropsies". Keep in mind, everyone was saying how raw this guy was coming into the NFL and most posters were proclaiming they'd be happy with 600-700 receiving yards from him as a rookie. Sure, he needs to work on his consistency but he wildly outperformed even the most positive of expectations.

Proudiddy, how legit #1 WRs are their in the NFL? It seems to me that you expect a guy to be a top 10 WR to be a true #1. That isn't reasonable.
-
Wow. Two guys who should be walking on egg shells seeing that Coleman was a UFA last year who finished the season on the practice squad and Hardy. Well, ya know.

Honestly, this is my concern too. He wasn't the Giants' GM so I'm not sure how much the Giants' drafting philosophy foreshadows regarding his own draft philosophy, but the Giants have always tried to build an OL out of mid and late round picks. They won two Super Bowls, but a lot of their struggles (and Eli's) the last couple of seasons has been due to their OL being hot trash.
