Clemson certainly has a very talented roster but that didn't look like a typical Clemson roster last night. Usually they are very obviously head and shoulders more talented, athletic, and stronger than the other team. It just looks like men against boys. I didn't see that last night. Duke looked like they belonged on the field athletically and physically with Clemson. That's honestly more shocking to me than the outcome of the game. Duke heating Clemson should look and feel flukey. That didn't look and feel flukey.

Oh, 100%. There's no way they were gonna generate any offense with the way DJ was playing. He wasn't even throwing in the zip code of receivers. It's just really weird that Clemson young backup QBs can step in and play well in spot duty then just fall off a cliff as the starter. It's way too early to write Klubnik's Clemson obituary just yet but man, last night was not good.

He's an ideal college coach though. Great recruiter and motivator, but not the type of Xs and Os guy that the NFL is going to be clamoring after. Well, unless Tepper gets infatuated I guess

Some recruits just don't work out. UNC landed the #1 CB recruit in the country s couple of years ago in Tony Grimes. He just turned out to not be good. It happens. #1 prospects at their position in the NFL draft bust too. It's what makes DJ at Oregon State interesting to me. If he plays well and Klubnik struggles it's really going to point the finger at Clemson as the root issue. When the #1 prospect at his position goes to the same school and they both bust that's probably not a coincidence.

It just seems like something is happening at Clemson that they're losing confidence in their QB and in turn killing the confidence of their QB. The play calling tonight screamed they didn't trust Klubnik throwing the ball and he never looked comfortable out there to my eyes. I mean, these are kids but they're not dumb. They've been playing and watching football their whole lives. They know when the play caller isn't showing confidence in them and that's gotta effect your head.

The offensive concerns are legit. Once again Clemson has a starting QB that had shown promise prior to being named the starter only to look like he's forgotten how to play QB once he becomes the full-time starter.

It's all moot because there's no way in hell Dabo is getting fired. Well, Bama might not be moot. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if they didn't show up to Dabo's house with a blank check when Saban calls it a career.

If he reached out said he wanted to come to UNC, I'd tell Mack to make it a memorable one because you're retiring at the end of the season.

An 11-3 season winning the conference championship and going to the Orange Bowl with a top 10 final ranking is a down year for Clemson. That's what Dabo has brought to Clemson. If they want to fire him all but a tiny handful of coaches in the country would be nervous if Dabo reached out to their program expressing interest.

Fans being irrational is certainly nothing new.

And who brought those types of expectations? These are the golden years of Clemson football and it's because of Dabo.

In terms of the national scene, he's right. Clemson getting blown out on national TV by Duke is a huge black eye on the conference in terms of playoff consideration.

Duke deserves credit but there's no way to sugarcoat it. Clemson looked like poo tonight.

Riley Leonard is not a good thrower of the football. He has to stop doing this weird, panicky sidearm bullshit where he's almost falling away and has his entire body square to the field. He throws like that every time the pocket is dirty and he's unsure of where to go.
