Highly doubtful old man. My dad is probably younger than you. LOL!

We're all over CBs because of injuries. The same is probably true with the OGs. Sometimes the best ability is availability. Speculating a little deeper... if you're gonna have a short QB, you better have a STRONG interior OL. Pressure up the middle is a killer for short QBs. They can't see over it.

It's just connecting the dots between the players we've acquired and what has been said by our new staff about our defensive scheme. No one is saying he WILL be traded. People have just said it could happen because we've made moves that have made him expendable (signing Von Bell), Fitts has already told us you can't re-sign everyone, Fitts is a wheeler and dealer, and on the surface Chinn doesn't really fit in great into this defensive scheme given the little that we know about it. It's the offseason, what else is their to talk about? Shall we argue some more about QBs?

Which QB Best Fits Reichs RPO Style Offense?

Just telling the truth. I honestly doubt he's on our final roster. -

Yep, sucks getting picked by a coach in over his head then getting hurt then the coach getting fired. I hope he can salvage a career but I honestly just don't see many signs he's part of our plan moving forward. -

RPO as in "Run Pass Option" not "Rhule Pick Obsolete" -
How former Panther Russell Okung looks like these days
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good for him. Seems like most of these guys really slim down or really let themselves go after they retire. -
Reich's Indy teams were typically near the top of the league in terms of snap percentage from shotgun. The lowest shotgun percentage they ran under Reich was 64%. They were more typically around 75%.

Which QB Best Fits Reichs RPO Style Offense?
LinvilleGorge replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bingo. Watch UNC's offense at the college level to see a classic RPO offense. The majority of RPO plays is the QB reading the defense at the mesh point with the RB before deciding to let the RB keep it or pull it and throw. -
Dean Jones from CatCrave on Panthers #1 pick

Same way everyone else is coming up with their prediction. Wild ass guessing. -
Dean Jones from CatCrave on Panthers #1 pick

I took it as he thinks Reich isn't gonna prefer Young but the majority in the room will. -

I showed my 7 year old daughter pics of Young, Stroud, and Richardson and asked her who we should pick to be our new QB. She picked Stroud because she liked his necklace. So there. Add that to the pile of predictions.- 35 replies

One of cube's best known tracks but not some of his best work IMO.

Don't be surprised if Jeremy Chinn is that purchasing power.

There's honestly no point in double digit draft picks. It's fun for mock draft purposes but your roster is trash if you have double digit rookies on your 53. 6-8 seems like a reasonable number to shoot for. If you have more, you should probably be packaging picks to move up. If you have less, you should probably consider trying to slide back to get more picks.

This. It's past time for us to actually fully commit to a QB. Tossing in second and third tier vets while primarily focusing on building a D produced the results on offense one would expect out of that approach.

You're deluding yourself. That's when the fanboys and haters both double down. There will be blood.

Floors and ceiling kinda feel misleading to me because I reality any of these guys can boom or bust well above or well below what most people would predict. But... Young: Ceiling = Drew Brees Floor = broken in half in a full body cast Stroud: Ceiling = Joe Burrow Floor = Mac Jones Richardson: Ceiling = Cam Newton Floor = Akili Smith I think he's total boom or bust. I see no gray area.

I don't disagree. He looked great in the UGA game but it was really the only time he excelled when pressured.

Honestly, the game that concerns me with Young is this year's LSU game. They really focused on speeding him up and trying to muddy the field in front of him. They brought a lot of pressure up the middle that oftentimes seemed more about just clogging throwing lanes and limiting his ability to climb up in the pocket than actually getting sacks. And it worked. When the field was muddy in front of him it usually produced a poor result. That's what NFL DCs are going to do to him. Sure, you can roll him out to combat that but that's cutting your field in half because he ain't got the arm to throw cross field in the NFL. That's going for six the other way.

You're getting blown out and talking poo. Not a good look. They lost 35-3. I don't care about "keeping it real" in the poo talking and barking. I care about how you respond with your play.

Behind the scenes in the front office
LinvilleGorge replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Odds aren't about predicting results as much as they are about spreading their liability. They want money relatively evenly spread out across their liabilities. -
Yeah, this.

I would've agreed with you in college. But he sure showed it against the Chargers in the 2nd half of that playoffs game. Dude played one of the worst halves of football I've ever seen a QB play at any level in the 1st half and bounced back to win. Sure, it was heavily aided by the Chargers going soft as fug both offensively and defensively, but still. To keep your head about you and bounce back after a half as atrocious as his 1st half... I was impressed. And I've never been big on Lawrence.

They're both good looking prospects IMO. I think Sanders has more positional versatility. I think he can play off the ball or rush off the edge. Campbell seems more like a classic off the ball LB, just jumbo sized. Given that, I'd take Sanders between the two but I think Campbell is gonna be a good pro and it wouldn't shock me if he ends up being the better of the two.
