  1. This was my argument. Don't get me wrong, I was relieved when Rhule was fired just because then we knew that terrible was officially going to end but I was saying that once you decided to retain him you might as well see it through and get that top 5 maybe top 3 pick out of it. Bonus points for avoiding the criticism for not hiring Wilks.
  2. He'd be 4-0 over Mahomes' Chiefs. I mean, Dan Marino never won a SB. We didn't win a SB in 2015 when Cam was clearly the best QB in the league at the time. SBs are team accomplishments. QB play is what it is and I honestly think Joe Burrow as an individual player probably does more to lift up his team than any other player in the league right now.
  3. Chinn can do it too. But just like Chancellor it should not be his primary role. It's a wrinkle in the defense not the base. Jeremy Chin is the far superior athlete. Chancellor: Chinn CAN play as a primary deep safety. It's not his best suited role but he can do it.
  4. I honestly have no clue what to expect out of the Colts at QB. Their last two highly drafted QBs were two of the most slam dunk no brainer #1 overall picks in the last quarter of a century. Trevor Lawrence is probably the only other one in the mix.
  5. That's generally how it goes. Most teams at the top of the board are there in large part because they suck at QB. The Bears are an anomaly. It's an impressive feat of terrible roster building to have a promising young talent at QB and still suck bad enough to land #1 overall.
  6. Yeah, I'm really not sold on Levis. A guy his age with his experience should not still be so raw. If we're gonna take a swing on a raw physical specimen I'd prefer Anthony Richardson.
  7. I was pounding the table to trade whatever it took to go get him. When we hired Joe Brady I honestly expected it to happen. When I saw this play against Clemson in the national championship game I was SOLD. https://gfycat.com/brokenbitterbabirusa-joe-burrow-highlights-vs-clemson
  8. I wanna have that guy again. That guy who every time he steps on the field you know he gives you a great chance to win. That guy with that swag. That guy with that infectious confidence that rubs off on his teammates. I look at Joe Burrow up in Cincy and I'm just jealous as hell. He's that dude right now. If they beat KC again today he's the new #1 QB in the NFL. Mahomes will have to hand over the belt.
  9. Chancellor was a helluva player but Chinn is way more athletic than he was. Honestly, Chinn could be a BETTER version of Kam Chancellor but we're just wasting him trying to play him as a deep safety. I'm really hoping that a big part of Fitt's motivation to find a true deep safety is freeing Chinn up to do what he does best.
  10. Ummm... that's basically what Chancellor was. He basically played a joker type S/LB hybrid role. He spent a LOT of time in the box. I've always said that if you want to see how Jeremy Chinn should ideally be used, watch Kam Chancellor in Seattle.
  11. Honestly a team that just hired a head coach and hasn't filled out it's staff is highly unlikely to be infatuated with any particular draft prospect at this point.
  12. Bleach. Just don't get it on the blue.
  13. Going from having a legit franchise QB, hope, and excitement to not.
  14. Yikes. That's basically admitting that they don't think they can beat out the Texans if the Texans want Ryans. Man, the Broncos have fallen hard as an organization. That Wilson trade and contract is looking like it might end up going down as the worst deal in NFL history. No joke.
  15. Like QB is definitely high on their wish list but not so high that they'll massively reach out of sheer desperation
  16. Why would anyone pay literally any attention at all to professional trolls like Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe?
  17. I think defense at #9 just went out the window with hiring an offensive head coach and our offense needing a lot more help than the defense.
  18. Sapp was a helluva player but he's also always been a loud mouthed idiot. I wouldn't put much stock into anything he says.
  19. The NFC South is prime for a team to emerge to dominate for the foreseeable future. Whoever solves their long-term QB issue first is going to have a massive leg up.
  20. The worst pair of starting OTs that ever have or ever will be penciled in as starters in the off-season. Borderline roster caliber players and Gettleman was like "Yep, no problem here. We got OT settled."
  21. Yeah, I'd actually he okay with signing Sam to a decent backup money contract and using him as a bridge to a rookie or veteran mentor for a rookie, kinda like how Cam had Derek Anderson. And yeah, never thought I'd be saying that about Sam Darnold.
  22. A year ago having Russell Wilson on your roster would've been seen as a terrific selling point. Fast toward to today and all of a sudden Wilson and his contract seem like the reason no one would want that job.
  23. If we think he's the answer, do it. Enough with the fear of taking a big swing on a QB. Identity the guy and get him.
  24. Wentz looks completely shot. If Reich brings him in I'll completely lose faith in this hire.
  25. Steve Wilks is a good man and I have to admit that even though I don't think he would've been the right hire I'm disappointed for him as a person for not getting his dream job. That sucks. I wish him nothing but the absolute best moving forward.
