He's just a man among boys. Like Pickett last year. A guy benefitting from playing as man amongst boys due to an extra COVID year. I'm still shocked the Steelers were that dumb.

I was saying prior to this game that we had to go into the ACC CG with only 1 loss to have a shot. I've seen the movie play out before when Clemson has a shot at the playoffs playing a team that doesn't. Carolina coming out on the short end of every debatable call tonight killed any argument duke may have had.

Maye and Williams would be duking it out for the #1 pick if they were draft eligible this year. As a Panthers fan I'd be thrilled to have either.

If you'd told me at the beginning of the season we'd be 9-2 I'd be thrilled. That still doesn't make snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against a 4-6 GT team anymore palatable. Especially for what that means lying ahead in the ACC CG. Prepare to see the highest level of bullshit call/no calls you've seen since SB50.

Plenty of maddening plays in that game. But at the end of the day it's been very clear this team was going to go as far as the offense could carry them. The D giving up a 3rd and long was predictable. Josh Downs dropping a gimmie TD on 4th and 11 wasn't. That hurt.

I hate to say it but tonight changed Josh Downs' legacy and not for the better.

We're not Clemson. There were several situations tonight where ACC refs would've stepped on to bailout Clemson but we're not Clemson.

Nope. We've greatly exceeded my expectations this year but that's pretty much just because we have a Heisman caliber QB when we were hoping we would just have a legit D1 caliber QB.
