  1. https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/27/entertainment/gene-hackman-betsy-arakawa-death/index.html Damn. They're saying no foul play expected. Maybe a gas leak or something along those lines? Either way... sad.
  2. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/abdul-carter-injury-update-news-penn-state-foot/d8250ee138ef5df504b34f2d?utm_term=abdul carter,penn state football,2025 nfl draft,nfl,news&utm_medium=browser_notifications&utm_source=pushly&utm_content=US&utm_campaign=Abdul Carter gets surprise injury news
  3. If we're drafting a RB at #8 overall after both paying Chuba and trading up to draft a RB in the 2nd last year then the entire front office needs to get fired on the spot.
  4. Oh fug. We beat four bad teams in a row and we do this... https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6159122/2025/02/25/unc-hubert-davis-contract-extension/ Hubert is now signed through 2030. I sincerely hope this works out and he becomes a great coach but the guy's seat should've been warming up. An extension during a bad season after a disappointing finish last year is just completely unwarranted at this point. *Edited to clarify that it was actually signed back in December, we have just had such a disappointing season that we had to wait until we could string together a few Ws for them to feel comfortably announcing it to the public. Oh wee mayne...
  5. Minter was a good SS. He wasn't a FS even though sometimes we played him there.
  6. I would prefer an edge rusher but honestly I wouldn't hate it. In the history of our franchise it's the one position that we've never had a really good player. Deon Grant is probably the best FS we ever had and he's was basically a mid-level starter. Watching guys like Ed Reed and Earl Thomas and Brian Dawkins and guys like that over the years just really opened my eyes to what a difference a true sideline to sideline over the top deep FS can make in a defense. Everyone can play more confidently and more aggressive because they know they have that safety valve back there as a last line of defense.
  7. Arizona is sitting at #16 and their 2nd is #47. #16 and #47 for #8. Something along those lines.
  8. I voted Jalen Walker but no matter what I hope we field any calls from phones ringing. It doesn't cost anything to listen to offers.
  9. Four in a row. I'll take it. Better to be beating not very good teams than losing to not very good teams. I mean, let's be real. We ain't competing for a championship this year so I'll just enjoy the wins and hope we keep improving. If Powell and Jackson come back next year could be interesting. If not, then it'll be another NIL/portal era crapshoot.
  10. Dan Hurley is really getting some humble pie shoved down his throat this year. Good to see. He's always seemed like a dick but after back to back championships and an absolutely dominant run last year it looked like he was gonna take over college basketball.
  11. It is what it is and they knew what it was right away. They pretty much had instant buyer's remorse. No way they pick Penix in the top 10 six weeks after signing Cousins unless they realized they'd fuged up.
  12. Honestly he's probably looking at a vet min type deal anywhere he goes. Won't be surprised if after seeing the market he just hangs up the cleats.
  13. If Penix works out that softens the Cousins blow a LOT while at the same time negating the cap benefit of having a QB on a rookie contract. Either way, their future is like ours. It heavily relies on how our young QBs ultimately pan out.
  14. Best of luck. Wasn't he talking retirement a couple of years ago before he popped his Achilles? I was assuming he was probably just gonna retire.
  15. Oh don't get me wrong, he absolutely got saved from being a complete moron by the historically king of the morons franchise stepping in and out-moroning him. LOL
  16. One of the few good decisions Tepper has made since buying this team is saying "okay I REALLY want this guy but I can't do THAT."
  17. Tommy Tremble. We badly overdrafted an athletic blocking TE hoping he'd develop as a receiver but he's basically still an athletic blocking TE.
  18. The only way we have a miraculous turnaround is if we hit an absolute home run draft class, are wizards in free agency, and Bryce builds on a strong finish to the season and fully metamorphosizes into the QB we drafted him to be. Well, here's to hoping...
  19. We have enough roster holes there shouldn't be any pressure felt to reach on any position. We're not fixing every problem overnight and even the best teams in the league have weaker areas on their rosters.
  20. I really hope T-Mac participates in drills at the Combine but in recent years top prospects not doing much has become the norm. If he goes out there and runs 4.5 flat with good agility numbers then all the speed concerns are basically over and he's probably a top 10 lock. The speed question is really about the only question in his game.
  21. Most have him in the 3rd-4th round range. So yeah, he seems to fit well in this thread. I think he's ready to go as a receiver at TE in the NFL but has a long ways to go as a blocker. He basically plays like a jumbo slot WR.
  22. You don't make a team better making desperate moves based on need. The desperate move we made to get Bryce shows up when you looks across the roster.
  23. He got married before he even got drafted. Everything he's made he's made while he's been married. He's cooked.
