  1. I have no idea what your field is but what you're saying really isn't relevant here. If he wants to get into coaching I'm certain he could find a far better opportunity than this worst case scenario opportunity. That's what I'm saying. I'd never give anyone the advice of jumping head first into the worst possible opportunity available, especially when there would be far better opportunities if they look around. Yeah, it might work out great for him if he's great. But guess what, so would the much better opportunity. It's all risk, no reward. It would just be a flat out dumb move
  2. We shouldn't trade DJ. We should entertain trading CMC. That contract is an albatross and he's an oft-injured RB. Yeah, he's an absolute difference maker when healthy but that "when healthy" addendum is a huge problem and big money RBs seem to never pay off. As good as he is, our future would look better with significant additional draft capital in our pocket and he and his contract elsewhere. Hurts to say it because I love the guy but it is what it is.
  3. If I could get a 1st and unload the full contract I'd take that deal without hesitation.
  4. If you want to try to build a career starting from the worst possible position then you better be really, REALLY good in which case you're gonna be fine no matter what. Starting out in a dumpster fire is just not advisable.
  5. This sounds straight out of Matt Rhule's upcoming "Football Motivation For Second Rate College Programs That Sure as Hell Doesn't Work in the NFL" book.
  6. I definitely heard COVID more than twice. Yeah, 20 was an exaggeration but it felt like he shoehorned COVID into every answer he could manage.
  7. The coaches are gonna try. The players are gonna try. It's in their career best interest. We as an organization just need to not go out our way to help them win games. We need a QB. We don't need moral victories.
  8. If Luke wants a future in coaching he needs to stay far, far away from this raging dumpster fire. Jumping into an interim staff in the midst of a tank year is not the start you want.
  9. You forgot about COVID. He must've mentioned COVID 20 times. Yes, Dave. We know. The Panthers had to deal with COVID... along with everyone and every other organization on the planet.
  10. He could've tried actually answering the questions instead rambling like an idiot, redirecting, restating questions to buy himself more time to come up with a bullshit reply and trying to tell reporters to read their own columns in order to essentially read Tepper's mind. That dude came across as a completely out of touch asshole over those last few minutes.
  11. Scott Fowler can read his own column to get an idea of Tepper's timeline? Uh... what? Well, folks. Anyone who thought Tepper may have been humbled that narrative fell apart bad down the stretch. What a fuging asshole.
  12. Please keep the questions coming. Tepper is about to come unglued.
  13. There never was music before in Charlotte. What? How many times is he gonna use COVID as an excuse?
  14. Hell yeah. This guy is hammering Tepper about all the turnover he's had in the organization. Tepper is PISSED.
  15. I'm very much on the fence. Every time he makes a humbling comment he quickly follows it up with something that comes off cocky as hell. I think he still thinks he's the smartest guy in this business and he just made a mistake in Rhule. Honestly not sure he's going to be any less cocky going into this next search.
  16. That was actually a pretty solid humbling answer there. "It might be good to be more conforming in some ways" regarding the absurd contract he gave Rhule.
  17. Listen closer. Tepper admitted that he told Wilks he might want to think about these moves. It might be Wilks' signature on the moves but Tepper pretty much flat out admitted he essentially fired these other guys too with that admission.
  18. Tepper is a bumbling fool. "It's usually the head coach's decision on these things... I told him he might want to think about these moves and he made the moves." I didn't rub my feet on Eddie Murphy's couch!
  19. Same. I could not root for any team associated with Sean Payton or Gregg Williams. Not after Bountygate. Nope.
  20. DON'T TOUCH THE OC! Ben McAdoo is the key to this tank.
  21. We're a coaching staff and a QB away from competing. All I want to hear from the next coach is that he's excited to spend our very high draft pick on a QB, build a team around him, and develop him. If a candidate even mentions a retread vet as anything more than a bandaid option so that the rookie isn't forced into action before being ready then thanks for your time bro, but this ain't what we're looking for.
  22. I'm not completely shocked given Snow's ties to Rhule. He was definitely following Rhule to whatever college gig he ends up at next. But the heads keep rolling and that makes me think there was WAY more internal organizational strife than we knew about.
  23. I wanted Fitts gone too but given the situation that Rhule is fired prior to the deadline now I hope he has full unfettered roster control and makes moves for the future. Sorry, Wilks. We're not trying to lookout for you. Yes, I'd move Robby for literally anything I could get and I'd be shopping CMC but not looking to give him away. I might just flat out cut CJ Henderson.
