I do not dispute that fact. But Dalton will not make a difference. The fact is this is a bad team with not enough talent or leadership to do nothing more than get embarrassed every Sunday until the season is over. I saw a team that was getting pushed around and took it. They were running around like they had lead shoes on and didn't know what they were doing. There's a lot of quit in this team. I saw a team still several years away from being competitive.

Exactly. Cannot have it both ways. The top 5 pick will be earned by losing a lot of games. It will be painful but fans should be used to that by now.

No downside other than they lose with Dalton also. They're going to lose regardless.

I watched every painful minute. I don't know why. The 1st quarter said it all.

If the fans think Dalton is going to change the teams fate for the season I'm afraid they will be disappointed. It was always going to be Bryce or bust this season. It's going to take an injury I'm afraid before there's a change at qb this season. If there is an in season change I say call the Plummer. He certainly cannot do any worse than Bryce and it would be more entertaining as we go win less this season.

The defense could not get 1 stop for the first 3 quarters. Not 1 stop. The gave up nearly 30 point in the 1st quarter. Blaming the offense for not scoring is justified but the defense not making 1 single stop in the 1st half is solely on THE DEFENSE. They weren't handicapped by the offense and blaming it on them is being blind to what is really going on.

It is impossible for the worst team in the league to tank. Tanking would imply that they are better but are just going through the motions to get the season over. Which they are already doing, going through the motions that is. This team will not win a game this season with how they played today.

Since time hasn't ended I will say he's among the worst. Jimmy holds that title and it's not even close.

The defense allowed the Saints to score on 8 straight drives. That's not on the offense. They did not force a punt until there was only 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter and the Saints backups were playing. The defense is considerably worse than last season and it's not the offense lack of production that's causing them to be swamp ass. The offense is still ass and the qb position is just as bad. The team came out flat and got their asses kicked as they surely deserved. There is not going to be any improvements this year so get use to the suck for another season.

This has to be the worst showing by this team in my memory and I've watched every game since inception. They couldn't do anything right. The offense is still bad and the defense could not stop NO until they put in backups. We have the 1st overall pick on lock right now and I don't see that changing. This team actually looks worse than last season and I didn't think that could be possible.

There goes our shot at a SB title this season.

The only thing that's clear to me is that they took this offseason and preseason to evaluate the entire roster. Not just a few positions, every position. Those that are not cutting it are replaced. It doesn't matter how long they've been here or how much they are loved by the fans. I like that approach. I have a feeling it's not over and will not be for a few seasons to come as long as Dan and Dave are in charge.

Given the choice I would keep JJ.

Morgan managed to get another pick out of the CMC trade. That's pretty slick. I also got a good chuckle out of that guy. He's pretty pissed.

My guess Moore was kept for his receiving abilities and as for Ian I really don't know. I would say a lot of it had to do with who had a better grasp of the offense at this point, maybe? I would not worry too much about it as those two are only here as placeholders until the have a better option. It appears they plan to feature the TE a lot so it would explain only carrying 5 wr.

I'm sticking with Vagas and the 4.5 wins. I think we lose the war of attrition along the way and our depth will not be good enough to take the over. I certainly hope you're right though. It will be much more fun playing spoiler to playoff hopefuls.
