We might actually be playing a team worse than us this week. I always look at this each week, first time in a while I’ve seen somebody worse than us in every single category. Well one thing about the end of that. I don’t think Bryce Young would have replaced Dalton last year if there hadn’t been the wreck. I think Dalton would have kept playing and Bryce would have been gone at the end of season. Canales got caught in a situation where he couldn’t really bench him because the team was looking better in games (even though a lot of it was running the ball better and playing better defense). So he was kinda trapped and didn’t have an out to make a change going into this season. If we lose to Miami, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a change back to Andy. Bryce has played bad but hasn’t had a total meltdown yet. That 2nd half in Arizona saved his ass as well. So overall had Andy left 30 seconds sooner or later that day, we might have a different QB right now.

The team itself is very soft. Non-physical. It has slowly gotten worse since 20/21. As much as it pains me to say it, Rhule’s team was more physical than Reich’s or Canales’. I think it has gotten way worse since DC got here.

A lot of our problems (other than Bryce) is that nobody on our team has really won at a consistent level before. Like, name one other than Sam Martin that was a consistent starter for a winning team. Bobby Brown (maybe) but he doesn’t even start for us, Robert Hunt? Like one year with Miami when they were decent. Turk Wharton?

He’ll get traded to a QB needy team mid-season for a 5th rounder and like a 7th. He’ll end up starting a couple of weeks later. Play like ass but the defense will win the game and then he will lose the rest of his games. He’ll sign with somebody in the offseason to compete for the job. Lose the competition, sit around until they get benched, fill in and do horribly. Then get released at the end of 2026 and sign to be the back up behind an established starter and we won’t hear from him again until somebody says his name and we go to his Wikipedia page and learn he retired.

Scourton could probably convert as an OLB. Princely might be able to go to 4-3 DE. Biggest issue would be lack of LBs and no true MLB.

Yeah whatever we have been doing the last 7 years isn’t working. Go back to what worked before. We need to get back to being mediocre (not sarcasm). Right now we are terrible, non-competitive, and can’t even attract decent free agents. On top of that, we are probably top 3 softest team in the league year after year. I would gladly take a retread DC guy to build the culture up and get us back to the middle of the pack at least. At least then we can attract decent talent and coaching candidates.

I remember when this place hated Kyle Allen. He was 6-7 as a starter with an OL that kept getting Cam hurt and Eric Washington’s 32nd ranked defense. In those 13 games he through for like 3500 yards and had 23 TDs. As a #1 overall pick Bryce has failed miserably. An UDFA with Allen’s skill set would have surpassed him already.

Probably somewhere like SF or Miami where the play caller can script the entire game if he ever has to step in.

Jesus Christ we have: (2) 1st-round WRs 1st round CB 1st round LT Over 200 million in other OL 1st round DE worth 90 million (2) 1000 yard rushers One of the highest paid safeties 100 million between Wharton and Brown. Plus a 2nd and 3rd spent on Edge Rushers this year. I mean come on.
