Official Panthers Roster Cuts (Updated)
ProcessBlue2 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
No they are going to give Claudin Cherelus 2 spots. -
You can’t always go off that. The list usually changes as the season plays out because teams have a younger guy they want to invest in and not pay the veteran or you have dipshit owners like Jerry Jones that are unpredictable. Similar to what happened with Cousins, Geno, Alex Smith, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if Prescott, Cousins, Murray, or Purdy was available this year.
-
I think it depends where they pick and how well the entire team performs. If the team as a whole looks decent they are more likely to go the veteran QB route. Taking a QB in the first round doesn’t always guarantee more time, ask Frank Reich. There is always an average or above QB floating around each year. If they can get Arch Manning or something than sure.
-
I think they are watching to see who’s going to be available before they make theirs official. Probably working trades too. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t cut anyone today.
-
I don’t think we are going to draft another one. Everyone has rookie QB fatigue, Morgan will probably go after whoever the top guy is in the market.
-
I would be fine with a Troy Hill type veteran just to have as depth behind Horn, Jackson, Smith-Wade and Thornton.

Falcons with Major Offensive Line Injuries to Start the Season
ProcessBlue2 replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
Raheem Morris has always been a terrible HC going back to Tampa. I don’t understand why he is so highly thought of. -
We really need to figure something out at CB. Horn was healthy last year but had a history of going down. We are one injury away from depending on Chau Smith-Wade and Shamar Bartholomew on one side of the field.
-
I would take a shot on Muma. No way in hell he can be any worse than Claudin F’ing Cherelus who is slowly becoming the next Ian Thomas of making the roster every year. I also wouldn’t be opposed to bringing Morgan Fox back for depth.
-
I would have released him this season, tbh and worked with Christensen out there.

Josina Anderson: Panthers NOT trading Adam Thielen
ProcessBlue2 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fact is he’s 35. Is in his final year. Get something now while you can. Chances are, he’s retiring or going back to Minnesota on a 1 year deal at the end of the season anyways. -

Maybe it’s just me but JA is wrong a lot. It makes perfect sense for both teams tbh. -
Gotta make sure they got some more cap freed up for Hendrickson.
-
Wonder if the bengals get tangled in this somehow.
-
You have to wonder how much is this is Thielen wanting to go home for his final season. Had this opportunity not been available he probably would have been happy here this season.
-
You could literally, put them in a full body suit and not be able to tell which one is which running routes. Thielen just has better hands.
-
Well apparently Dave Canales read this and agreed with me.
-
Do it. Get something out of it. Either way he is probably done after this season. Maybe we can get some LB or secondary depth out of it. Renfrow is the same type of player on a less talented level. Give McMillan, Legette, and Coker the top 3. Gives you a path to also keep Renfrow, Horn, Tremayne, etc.

I think you have to live in the gray a little bit. If it’s 6 games but 6 of your losses were within 6 points, that’s different. We won 6 games in 2011 after going 2-14 and then only won 7 in 2012, but you could see significant improvement at the end of year going into 2013. If we start 4-3 and then go 2-8 the rest of the year with a ton of blowouts, Tepper is going to knock over the chessboard again.
-
Slow start, but figure it out as the season goes on. Floor - 6 wins Ceiling - 9 wins Can totally see us being somewhat competitive and then spending a ton of money this offseason. I do worry about Evero and Bryce. I was on the Fire Evero train and I’m hoping he just needed a better roster, but I haven’t been impressed with him since he’s been here. Bryce, I hope he hasn’t regressed back to pre-benching Bryce. I’m really burnt out on QB searching, and Dalton was gassed after 2-3 games last season.
