  1. This would have been a sick ass signing a couple years ago...now I just hope he returns to form. If we get even 75% of what he used to be then I'll be happy.
  2. More like some players don't have respect for anything much less their coach...good teams know when to get rid of players like that and the Patriots do it all the time...non story really. Also worth noting we don't know how he was in the locker room...coaches absolutely will get rid of people they deem to be a problem...whether or not said person believes hes a problem or not.
  3. PD is a top 10 WR in this draft....but we won't pick him in the first as there will be better WRs available at 25.
  4. Yay we're finally ahead of the curve around here.
  5. Please tell me that's not all you're going off of..... Not that I want Shaq T but...
  6. Holy unrealistic and not going to happen at all trades batman.
  7. Yea Hill was overdrafted based on potential but he was what...20 years old? He's now 23 so maybe his mind is right? By all accounts it usually takes WRs a couple of years to adjust to the NFL and that's when they are around 22-23 years old...he was a baby by those terms when he was drafted and had the Jets to work with. I think Proehl is good for both Brown and Hill so we'll get more out of some WRs than a lot of teams so we can hope either or both pan out and our WR corps could turn very dangerous pretty quickly.
  8. Not being negative at all, just observant. Being a grinder is all cool and everything but it's the main reason people like him...it's the underdog story. People keep saying he's a deep threat when he's not nor has he ever been...he's not the answer for our speed issues and he's small so yes 4.5 is bad for a 5'11 WR weighing in at 180lbs. If 300 yards and 2 TDs is coming up "big" then let me tell you that there are 60+ other NFL WRs who came up bigger for their squads...once again easily replaceable. Brown is 23 same as age Hill but Hill has more experience and measurables. http://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/12864/wide-receiver-stephen-hill-could-be-ready-to-shine-for-panthers-in-2015 Not saying he is the answer either but people scoff at a 23 year old HIll who is 6-4,215 and can actually run but try to act like Brown could be anything but a JAG...at best Brown could be an average slot WR.
  9. Well to be fair it's really not that great of a Safety class. Last year had 4 Safeties in round 1...this year Collins should be the only one so a lot of the prospects have some issues. I also have to wonder how much his injury affected some of his tackling since it has been a nagging shoulder injury. So yeah he'd have to get completely healthy and man up a bit. I don't like either player in the 3rd anyway. If we got Sample in the 5th that'd be just fine...4th is pushing it for me personally but it could happen.
  10. Can't remember if I put this in another thread but Brown is JAG as an NFL WR....literally every team has a player who can do what Brown does if not better...he's basically a slightly better AE who is also slower than people keep saying... How do you guys figure he's fast because the game tape certainly doesn't show it....nor does this: http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/sports/2014/02/24/official-result-takes-luster-off-browns-time.html Also that article says that he was never a deep threat or target at Ohio State....sure he'll be that for us....uhh not.
  11. Maybe in the 4th or 5th I really don't think he's going in the 3rd as a Jr with limited experience as you say. Plus his partner in crime is the Batman of that duo and is a sick safety so my man didn't have to do much with Holliman snatching any and everything. Rather have Holliman(whose going in the 3rd most likely). I guess you like his upside which is there i'll give him that...but yea he'd have to sit so I wouldn't want to use a 3rd on that. Now behind Harper and learning for a year as a 5th round pick....that I could deal with.
  12. Not a bad draft but the 1st and 3rd rounders hurt it IMO. Would rather have Strong or one of the LTs in the first and we'll have much better players available in the 3rd.(like where conley will probably go) The steal of that draft would be Conley in the 5th....he's going earlier than that but if we got him with a 5th it'd be highway robbery and I would be ecstatic.
  13. Norman in the Buffalo game that one year. Why do we always lose to some shitty Buffalo and Vikings...hell remember Gamble and his STs bullshit play? Then last year STs literally shat the field....
  14. I think we end up with a stud anyway..like others have said...if there is a run on WRs and/or OL then we get a sick DE/LB/CB or even RB... This draft being so deep in our positions of need again is so much better for us than people realize, if teams start grabbing OL/WR because they think we want them then that leads to reaching and lets better prospects at other positions fall further.
  15. If the draft went like that they'd have to cancel subsequent drafts because we would have literally killed it.
  16. Oh yea to move up in earlier rounds would be fine but like you said, I think I'd rather see what he can do with the full array of picks. He did make a trade last year so maybe those later round move ups are more his style.
  17. LOL did someone really say trade our 5th and 6th for a 3rd? Yea no one would do that, especially in today's game...learn to NFL man. Whoever would give up their 3rd for that would basically have to fire themself.
  18. Maybe they should have cut Cason sooner? I think he may not have counted but he played in 10 games right?
  19. I'm glad we got those two picks and it could defeintely help our depth and STs because I'm sure Gman will rock the picks. On the other hand sorry ass Cason costs us a 6th...I wish they didn't count that loser but hey can't be too upset.
  20. That's a pretty generous ranking for him and like some others have said....Cam and Luke are making a few coaches a lot of money right now...We keep winning even though Ron and Shula are in the way.
  21. Can't wait till someone beats up a dood who then says he identifies as a female...what will happen then...can't wait.
  22. Proves what a lot of us knew about the team...JR isn't a hands off owner and we are historically worse off because of it. Innocent man and all pro DE not even offered a dollar by the team that drafted him...total fail and hypocrisy abound. I fully believe that hardy was hanging with the wrong people but he was also railroaded. I wonder what you people would have done if a drugged up crazy woman was in your house breaking poo. Maybe you'd try to remove her from your house? Call the cops? hmmm When me and my wife play around and wrestle or jump on the trampoline or play some ball she often comes away with huge bruises especially around the areas where you'd grab someone and near the knee/elbows and other joints...and not even that hard mind you.
  23. And the Atlanta noise gate or w/e the fluff that was. But yea If I'm on the Hawks offense no way do I let that play happen. If I was Lynch I would have literally just stole the ball from him...or used the last TO...anything but pass in that situation...play call makes Shula look like a HoFer.
  24. Honestly Norman is better when he was allowed to press and get physical with the WR... Maybe we will try to play more up on the receivers...which would make my day because I'm so fuging tired of the patented Rivera 15 yard cushion.
  25. It'd take a lot more than 2 first round picks to get a top 3 LB of all time....
