Refocus and get back to the Game 1 defense. 1. NJ had a lot of good looks in Game 2 and Freddie played exceptionally well, but it should not have been that easy for them. A lot of high danger and Grade A's in front of the net. NJ had a lot of shots on goal. 2. Timo Meier was on the doorstep more than a few times, it's only a matter of time unless the Canes get back to their style of defense. 3. Little doubt that Vacacek will start in goal for NJ. Need to get to him early, he's played pretty well considering he's come off the bench in the first 2 games. 4. NJ on home ice will have last change and I'm not very comfortable with the Canes 4th line and their lack of speed likely getting stuck on the ice with the Devils speedsters. Face down this challenge, win today and I think they sweep. If not, steal the Tuesday game and come home with a 3-1 series lead.

Watching last night's game replay on the NHL channel. Fast absolutely crushed Graves on the end board toward the end of the first . Followed by KK's hit.

Was she conscious when you proposed?

NHL Channel is showing the replay tomorrow afternoon at 2:30PM.

We have a connection in the hockey operations office told me the Wednesday game was the best game the team played the entire season. Wonder what he says about tonight.

Lines: Forwards: Noesen - Aho - Jarvis Martinook - Kotkaniemi - Fast Drury - Staal - Necas Stepan - Stastny - Puljujarvi Defense: Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce Gostisbehere - Chatfield Goalies: Andersen ------------------------------------ These lines produced opportunities galore Wednesday night. Necas had a gaping net, Aho and the gang rang the post 3 times and the Devils are so worried about Noesen camped in front of the crease, they're playing home and leaving the wings open. I don't see how NJ's blue line can keep up with these lines at all. Wouldn't be surprised to see another 3-4 goals tonite. 4th line concerns me a little- they are the 3 slowest guys on the team. I can't see this line remaining as is when the games go to NJ and they have last change.

Little off topic, but I did get tickets for the September Aerosmith concert today. Lower level, excellent seats for less than the price of the stadium game tickets.

I'll be at a Cinco de Mayo social engagement tonight, but will be keeping track of the game. Plenty of tequila involved as well....

Just gonna throw this on out there- the announcers & PK Subban for the NJ- Carolina series. I only highlighted Subban because I don't know who the other 2 guys in the studio were. But the guy behind the glass (Ferraro), the lady doing the bench stuff (Kaplan) and McDonough (play-by-play) are all on the NJ badwagon. So, if you thought the announcers were horrible before knowing this....
