  1. Didn't he sit a large portion of the playoffs last year? For some reason, I seem to remember that was a head scratcher. And, to be honest, I thought he might be on his way out when Domi signed last season. But, you're right, Rod loves him and there's a reason in the lockeroom why the team gave him an "A".
  2. The seats I normally select and prefer are in the 80-120 price range inside. Comparable seats, albeit a LOT further away from the ice, are going for $500. I was looking forward to that game, and while I can easily afford the tickets, I think I'll pass if the best the organization can come up with is a pre-sale offer thru Ticketmaster. Check this: Upper level corner of the stadium, for a mere $125 per seat!:
  3. Historically, they've only carried 7 d-men. And I hope Bear's contract doesn't make him an obligatory roster addition.
  4. I have a ticket package and the best they can come up with is giving us a pre-sale offer? We don't have the option of selecting this game as part of our ticket package and, if your stomach can handle it, go take a look at ticket prices for that game. They start at 3-4 times as much as a comparable ticket inside.
  5. Only 5 blue-liners on your list of automatics. I think Chatfield and Coghlan need to round out the list of defensemen and try to move Bear.
  6. If this is prospect versus prospect game, it's pretty ugly.
  7. Bear ($2.2M) and Dronov ($770k) are out. Chatfield ($762k) stays. That's $2.2M saved. Kase ($1.5M) and Pederson ($750k) are out. Drury ($925k) and Noessen ($762k) stays. Another $500k or so saved. After that? I dunno.....
  8. So, last night was pretty much a one-sided affair, but rest assured Columbus won't look like that in a week. But, to my observation. It is just me or has Paul Stastny looked every bit of his 36 years, not seeing much ice time and one of the few roster additions that doesn't look very comfortable on the ice with this team? Oh, and the Canes are $4.2M over the cap as of this morning.
  9. Drury and Noessen are the future of the team. I'd be surprised if Stepan sticks.
  10. Burns had a no-trade clause and Carolina was on that list. Thing is, Burns hadn't updated that list in some time. Rumor has it he said yes to Carolina without pause and without talking $$.
  11. Guy is winning over 75% of his face-offs... pretty damn good.
  12. Wait, you actually pay to sit in that stadium and watch this garbage?
  13. Hockey season is upon us. Not too late to jump on the bandwagon of a true professional sports organization. Go Canes!
  14. He won't quit. If he does, he never gets another shot. And the NFL is full of bad coaches who keep landing jobs.
  15. Can only laugh at any of you still giving your hard-earned money to this organization.
  16. Yes, Burns can help me forget about losing Tony D. Canes 2nd period D was atrocious. That sound familiar? PP & PK both look pretty good.
  17. Chatfield actually beat a couple Lightning guys the other night to nullify icing calls. I missed last night's game due to a previously scheduled social engagement, but I really like Chatfield and Coghland. Bear is gonna be the odd man out, sorry to say. I really like the kid and hope he makes a career in the league, but he's not quite there yet to make this team.
  18. How'd you get tickets already? I have season tickets and the stadium game isn't available to us until the 4th.
  19. I'm watching the Florida Governor Sh!thead press conference and I've heard a few million without power, and that entire electrical infrastructure will need to be rebuilt in some areas, 100 temporary cell towers will be deployed. Then they go on to say that people who sheltered in place need to call some phone number or register on some website. How does one do this without power or cell service?
  20. Another positive from last night's game: Necas actually shot the puck with a little pressure on him. Don't know how many times last season I was screaming for him to shoot. Now to get TT to do the same.
  21. The issue with defensemen is this- only 2 lefties in the mix: Slavin and Skjei are the only lefties. I think Coghlan gets Bear's spot as the #3 RD, Calvin DeHaan is on a PTO and he's the only other LD on the roster. Slavin-Burns Skjei-Pesce DeHaan-Coghlan Chatfield/Bear (keep in mind, Bear is on a $2.2M contract) are the 2 contenders for the 7th D-man spot.
