I'll just copy this from the game day thread. I posted this earlier this morning: "I have zero confidence in the goalie situation right now. A stretch of not so easy games against Detroit, Minnesota on Sunday and into Boston next Wednesday." And, I'll add this: The Canes will not make the playoffs with either Raanta and (insert name here) or Kochetkov and (insert name here). We may as well just let the entire locker room know that it's going to take 5 goals a game to win.

I have zero confidence in the goalie situation right now. A stretch of not so easy games against Detroit, Minnesota on Sunday and into Boston next Wednesday. Detroit gave the Canes fits last year and they are better this year, in the middle of a 3-game win streak. The Canes can't lose just one, they seem to streak in both directions. I have a scheduled commitment, so I don't think I'll see any of the game tonight.

Now, those fans should be able to see their teams play if they have an Amazon Prime subscription. ------------------------------------------ I, like many others, have a Bally Sports subscription at $20 per month on top of my Hulu + Live, Amazon, Apple+, and Netflix. I stream it on my laptop and share it to my TV. It'll be nice to just have to turn on Amazon Prime and watch.

BB is wishing for the second coming of Tom Brady. Seeing how well things went for New England after TB left and what BB's career looks like before TB, that's what he'll need to be successful again. BB pre-Tom Brady in Cleveland and NE: 41-55 record. BB post-Tom Brady in NE: 12-22. So, yeah, go ahead and convince me what a great head coach he is without TB.

Let's start with basics. Canes were beaten to loose pucks, lost board battles and allowed cross ice passes in both the 1st and 3rd period. They were sloppy passers, no puck support behind the goal and guys running into each other like they've ever been on the ice together. The Canes didn't belong on the ice with an NHL team today. This was not on Raanta. The Canes would have lost regardless who was in net the way they played today.

Slow, sloppy and undisciplined. Not Canes hockey.

I've enjoyed watching the XFL the last couple years. Every once in a while a former NFL name pops up, someone trying to make it back. I remember watching Taylor Heineke and PJ Walker a few years back. If there's nothing else to watch on a crappy weather day, it's fun to watch these guys fighting to make a name for themselves and maybe get some decent game film. There are plenty of scouts at these games too.
