Saw Thomas Davis on the Panthers Huddle and watched his film breakdown of the Tampa defense he was extremely confident of a Panthers win due to Tampa not being able to stop the run ie interior d line getting moved and linebackers out of position to close he said, same problem all year the film breakdown Thomas does always makes that show worth watching (Well the last 10 mins) I believe someone shared the entire show on this board this week

Then…why do you bother being on this board and watching games ? you act like this is the first division to ever be this low…check the history …the Giants were not suppose to make the playoffs or beat the Patriots the teams don’t set the teams in the divisions or any stipulations as far as threshold of wins. The Panthers are playing the hand they hold I have long advocated getting rid of divisions and conferences and just do straight win / loss records but the nfl in its infinite wisdom doesn’t see it that way this team has not quit and they have every reason to and they haven’t I’ll take that participation trophy every time as a PSL holder who pays to watch the product as I’ve seen Panthers teams that did quit and it wasn’t pretty btw. Fans may get a participation award for the playoffs but the players and coaches make extra money and bonus for doing it, So ya, ‘Whoop Dee Friggen Doo’

If they make the playoffs, they will have earned it not many teams get rid of their head coach after 5 games and arguably on of the top 3 players in the league and be where they are they can’t help the state of the division. They have to play the ball enter it lays

I am glad for Sam I hope it continues. i hope plays lights out over the next 3 games, the panthers go to playoffs and he plays well in games that matter and rewrites his story The truth is the Panthers only have one true receiver in Moore and the other pass catching options are not great combined with McAdoo’s offensive passing scheme so… …Yes, a lot of times, it’s not just a ‘hero ball for the first down, it’s Jesus throw . A miracle once in awhile is one thing but every game is pretty hard Carolina is a team of hard working ‘Rudys’, Almost like a team from the island of ‘misfit toys ‘ …a qb no one wanted, a HC no one wanted, a rB, no one wanted, etc etc i thank them for making December mean something and I could not have imagined that in October

MMQB: Breer on Wilks/potential OC candidate
raleigh-panther replied to *FreeFua*'s topic in Carolina Panthers
…never called plays ? one season out if Florida ? haven’t we been down that road before ? no thanks -
The issue is Josh Daniels the guy is a franchise killer as a HC
-
Yes and they play little game too like, you will get your money 7 days after the event so, if you sell a nibember game in September you don’t get paid until 7 days after the event. in 20 years, never missed games. Have a family situation in west coast so out here more too, most local fans don’t want to pay face value and this isn’t charity for home town discounts

Horn being out is huge…just huge It also means a lot of soft zone and that’s ole Tom’s favorite defense to play against I still see the Panthers winning this game, 21 to 20 i also see Godwin having the game of his life brady will do his best to bring them back but the Panthers hold on The Bucs will sell out to stop the run. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but it is Darnold’s time to shine He may never get another and I believe he will. It is also time for a WR not named DJ to do something positive
-
How do you feel about McDermott? He is a defensive coach, agree? He got lucky and drafted Allen against all the pundits advice Yes, Wilks sweet spot is defense. It doesn’t mean he is too stupid to know that he doesn’t need a qb and an OC and a decent passing game coordinator.Pass catching TE and WR. There are some good ones in the upcoming draft In the present situation, fact is with McAdoo, and DJ and WRs to be named later and no TEs capable of catching the ball much less YAC, exactly what passing derby do you expect him to win this year ?
-
My only concern with Wilks was the Steelers game. Team not prepared. Game plan on both sides of the ball, terrible Failure to trust hus team to get in rhythm worse yet, going for fields goals were not going to cut it, the message to the Steelers was, ‘we are fine with 3. ‘. The message to his own team was. ‘You aren’t good enough to stop this ass whipping and we aren’t going to embarrass the owner at home so field goal, it is’ To be fair Wilks has 1. one quality receiver in DJ, and DJ can be streaky 2.no pass catching TEs 3. QBs no one else wanted 4. A defense while good in spots, can be weak with some members of draft classes not performing to their draft position 5. A coaching staff he didn’t hire and yet here we are, talking about meaningful games in December this team continues to fight and that’s to his credit, no one else’s he is the next head coach of the Panthers I wish him every good thing and will support him

Exactly right -
Nathaniel Hackett fired

There were people on this board who were not for Hackett before the Rhule hiring whoever made the Wilson decision is the culprit Wilson has never been a system Qb, he is improvisation, not precision hackett is precision. Rodgers greater than Wilson -
Yep. A little too much. I mean, who couldn’t forecast the end of the game last night. The Panthers have to accept there will be 8 in the box this will be Darnold’s game to shine when he gets the chance they have to accept that middle must hold for the run and pressure Brady. He hates up the middle pressure with horn out, it’s a terrible blow as playing man is going to be rough and playing soft zone is right in Brady’s sweet spot finally, not over pursue as Brady gets rid of the ball quickly the Bucs have a very injured oline but the Panthers players have to execute everywhere I’ll say the Panthers win this game owing to the poor oline of the Bucs and the stronger oline of the Panthers The ‘Rudys’ win 21 to 16
-
Do you think they can play man with Horn out?
-
We could clinch the division next week
raleigh-panther replied to Car123's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wilks (Or Fitterer) is going to have to come up with something for the loss of Horn in that defensive back field It has to be something better than a soft zone two things are true of Brady 1. Brady hates pressure up the middle 2. Brady loves soft zone and hates man -
Do we get flexed to prime time next week?
raleigh-panther replied to Mage's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes it’s official. Ravens / Steelers …trumps Brady. Amazing -
To be fair, it’s not like he has more than one decent receiver either better teams have 3 plus a TE
-
Rallying to the ball is on thing stupidly hitting with all your force your teammate’s arm is something else again did you see the play ?
-
It’s one thing in the trenches it’s another thing when a Safety can clearly see the CB has it under control in an open field it was flat out stupid
-
Thank Chinn for it anyone would have had a broken something the way Chinn hit that arm
-
Yes he did Chinn had no reason to try and assist there either. None
