  1. I think the size concerns are overblown. Stroud is the better pure passer with a stronger arm, but Young does everything else the position requires(calling out protections, reads, scrambling, etc) today better. I prefer Young because he plays the game a little better and never seemed to get rattled by pressure.
  2. All this QB talk is a smoke screen. The Panthers will be taking
  3. Good post, but asking for fairness and no overreacting? If that happens on the huddle, hell might freeze over.
  4. Yeah, he took some big hits, but only missed one game in three years. Personally, I think he'll be fine in the NFL but admit I could be wrong. Unlike some, I can't claim to know the future.
  5. What's them winning lottery ticket numbers Mrs Cleo? Your "fact" is an opinion and nothing more. Nobody knows if Young or anyone with "ideal size" will be able to stay healthy or not in the NFL after getting drafted. The league protects QBs more and more every year. They're not quite NBA bad with the you can't touch the star fouls yet, but they're getting there. What is fact is that Young played in the toughest college league for three years and missed one game while taking hits from NFL sized players. He's shown he's tough and can take a hit or avoid contact with his small size. The size thing is way overblown on here.
  6. Now imagine the other guy goes to a team in your division
  7. Oh. Yeah, the Panthers have done very well with top 3 picks. That said, this is the first time they've moved up to get a guy so, there is the additional pressure of that to consider. Missing on a top 3 pick when you suck is bad, but odds are you'll be right back in the top 10 the following year and might get fired if the owner is impatient. Missing after trading up means you just handed a top 10 pick to another team and will be fired. At least that's the way I look at it.
  8. Picking wrong? When you consider every round, more times than picking right. HOF level guys being skipped over? To be determined.
  9. This link should start from the beginning
  10. Watch the Thinking Football video for Young.
  11. Mayer has some body catch and blocking issues but they feel he could be a day 1 starter. They all but said Levis should be a mid round pick. They also said Stroud was the best QB in the draft but really didn't go into the pressure/rush issues but did state his movement/running issues were overblown. I want to watch this one later too.
  12. Found these videos a little while ago. The Young video is very fair and I'm currently watching the Mayer one.
  13. Either of those wins the thread
  14. It's easy to claim something after the event is over. Joking aside,
  15. Probably, but I was looking for baby type tantrums that weren't cute.
  16. Not yet, though has has played all 13 games the last two seasons, and is rapidly improving. He'll be well worth watching this upcoming season. 17. Yep. He was the biggest DT in college football last season. Dude needs to lose some weight for his own health but talk about a space eating nose tackle.
