  1. Tepper hasn't learned a thing nor will he.
  2. You're dreaming if you think Tepper, a guy valued at over $20 billion, has or will find humility or listen to a mere millionaire that he pays.
  3. Eh, it really all depends on what Young does this offseason and if he goes into the season playing better. Having a quality coach that holds him accountable to improve his fundamentals and builds a system for him from day 1 could be the kick in the ass Young needs to succeed. If Young is able to show promise, improvement, and leadership, the other players will follow him even in another losing season. If he can't, the Panthers will be looking for another QB in the draft.
  4. I get what you're saying, but that's why you have to be smart. Get it written into the contract that you get two years if you have to start the current QB, no matter if you're sold on him or not, and get to pick his replacement in the draft if things don't work out with him. That said, odds are the team ends up with one of the lesser HC candidates because the better ones aren't going to come here. So, does it really matter? I have zero trust or faith in Tepper's organization. Hiring Morgan wasn't a strike, it was an out. They have two more and one of them will be the HC hire. The minimum to get me to restore even a little bit of faith or trust is back to back winning seasons or a superbowl victory. Whichever happens first and I'm not holding my breath for either to happen anytime in the next decade.
  5. LG had stated 7-8 wins, so I just kept what he had went with. The team is going to ride with Young next season for better or worse. People need to accept that and move on. Hopefully, that will also mean either Young is the guy or he leads the team to another top 3 pick. Edit: Going back to mediocrity is not something that needs to happen but I think most fans would be happy with even though that is sad.
  6. Morgan at least had helped put that bad roster together. He was the pro scout guy while Fitt was the college guy. But even if Morgan was the "one voice of reason", the team needed a clean slate instead of hiring from within.
  7. Luvu. Oh wait. That one is because of Rhule.
  8. From reports from the Observer and other places right after Tepper threw the cup of whatever at that fan. I think Fowler was the first though.
  9. Riding with the vet and winning 7-8 games would also make a lot of fans feel better about themselves. But as you said, it wouldn't help the team find an actual QB answer.
  10. Yep. I can see Brown getting the gig somewhere and doing well. It's the Panthers' way.
  11. This is the correct answer. The Panthers need all the cheap young talent they can get even if they don't pick another QB in the round 1 of the 2025 draft
  12. The eye test can be wrong and weren't you the guy that said this about another QB?
  13. Clean house. Despite being a fan favorite player, Morgan was part of the front office that put together the worst team in franchise history and one of the worst teams in the history of the NFL. You don't reward that by letting the guy fail upwards into a more powerful role.
  14. That's cool. You'll just have to worry about these guys then
  15. Watch out for the maple syrup mafia coming down from the northeast to run you out of business
  16. The only time I've seen it said that Morgan was the only one to stand up to Tepper was here in a post by Nas, or at least I think it was him, that said his source claimed that. I've never seen anything by any of the local or national reporters claiming anyone that worked for the team would stand up to Tepper.
  17. Here There was a thread about it when the article was published. Now, while you might say speaking against him is not the same as telling him the truth, they're basically the same thing in the context of surrounding himself with yes men instead of people that can do their jobs well.
  18. Morgan was reportedly in lockstep with Fitt about the team and all decisions. That doesn't speak well for him considering the state of the franchise. It's also been reported that Tepper gutted the team of anyone that would speak against him. If that's true, it means Morgan is another yes man and not someone that would speak up as one of the posters(Nas? I think that is who it was anyway) here claimed his source said. Going by what we've seen of Tepper, I'd say the former stands a lot better chance of being true than the latter. Morgan is also part of the prior regime. This team needs completely new leadership, not a failure falling up.
