Someone pointed out in the game thread that anytime the Panthers have faced decent to good teams and/or QBs, the defense has been exposed. That's largely true.

Not true. There have been a few posters that haven't jumped in saying the defense was playoff caliber or the team as a whole for that matter. The majority of fans have said the defense was super bowl worthy or whatever though.

This is still a mediocre team that has only beaten other mediocre teams, teams starting rookie QBs for the first time, and a team missing a lot of coaches and players. And it starts at the top. Tepper is another Richardson in that he care more about profit than winning. He made terrible choices by keeping Ron and Marty too long. He made another by letting Marty pick Rhule and talk him into that decision. Rhule was given too much control and is in over his head. Rhule has made bad choices in his coordinators and in player personal. So far Fitt seems to be a rubber stamp for whatever Rhule wants. It's all a mess.

Really? If he admitted that, he shouldn't be coaching in the pros.

He never did. That early season production was contract year production. Always beware of guys that start playing well when they want to get paid.

The Panthers have the stadium mics turned way up today to make it seem louder than it really is there. I've never heard the music over a broadcast as loud as it is today or over the announce team.
