Round 5, Pick 27 (#163) - Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame
carpanfan96 replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
He can take over Tremble as the starter this season. Biggest question is can he stay healthy, if he does.... look out. -
Round 6, Pick 32 (#208) - Jimmy Horn Jr, WR, Colorado

Etienne is also a kick returner. So there's competition there now -
Atlanta, NE, Chicago, and the Panthers had really good drafts. Those are my four teams with an A draft grade overall.

Round 5, Pick 2 (#140) - Cam Jackson, DT, Florida

I don't see Watson getting drafted, probably an UDFA when he gets his weight down under 410. -
Round 3 - Panthers Select Princely Umanmielen at Pick 77

Love his attitude, telling the Panthers he was going to break their pockets in a few years. Fugging fantastic -
Scourton is going to be the strongside starter, how the hell is that atrocious???
-
T-Mac isn't a bad pick and I can see the logic behind it. Especially since Young has chemistry with him already. Scourton and Princely were great picks. Ransom and Jackson are good picks, I especially like Jackson. Evans has a ton of upside and could probably come in and start for the Panthers. Finally Etienne has some good upside and isn't a bad fourth round pick.

The Panthers have killed it this draft and I wasn't a big fan of T-Mac at 8.

He's legit one of the highest RAS TE ever drafted. Ranks 127 out of 1201 since 1987.
-
That's why you take flyers on RAS guys late in a draft, worst case they have the athleticism to play ST at a high level while they develop at their position.
-
Good in a stew and that about it imo. lol
-
Paul is too small to play ILB in a 3-4 in the NFL.
-
Tremble would be a poor man Evans. Evans is one of the highest RAS TE's in the Modern NFL draft "since 1987, he ranks 127"
-
Was 97 on ESPN, NFL.com had a 4th-5th round grade on him.
-
Why they only start one NT and have the DE spots 2 deep on both sides.
-
RAS guy, fastest 10yrd split among the TE's in this draft. 8.95 RAS. Top 150 among all TE's since 1987.
-
And they went with the TE Evans, the fastest 10yrd split among the TE in this draft.
-
I like Mbow, Evans, Williams or Medrano here late in the fifth. If I had to lean right now, I'd say Williams or Medrano.
-
Typically yes, but he plays with really good leverage so he can pull it off. Plus the added benefit of being able to move him around the line since he fits what you traditionally look for in a 3-4 end. That said they may view him as a 3-4 end, will have to wait and see.
-
Panthers have had one of their best drafts in years this weekend.
-
Looks more like a 3-4 end, he's a big dude at 6-6 and 330lbs, but he definitely has the weight to play NT that's for sure. Probably can move him around the line as well because of that size.
-
Not likely on many if any, those draft interviews spread like wildfire especially when they are as bad as his interviews were.
-
Inside LB's... Who's left that fits a 3-4 ILB.. I don't see much left imo
