Looks like Nikishin is in bound before playoffs
carpanfan96 replied to philit99's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Nope they've agreed to the contract in principle but the team hasn't officially offered him the contract to sign. They are holding out in case they want him to play some games for the wolves first. Which is stupid to me... -
Rumor: Jalon Walker may need shoulder surgery

That explains quite a lot actually. -

It's not not nothing. Word is they are looking for a trade or for him to ignore the NHL if he isn't signed ASAP. -
Give me Svechnikov once more. Though I should say something crazy like Slavin with the way the series has started. lol

They got a third "101" back in that trade. -

The Panthers don't think they are a rebuilding team. -

I won't be surprised if Mike Green drops way hard in this draft because of the off field concerns. I think he ends up being drafted but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends tonight not having heard his name being called. -

The difference in chart value to go from 57 to 34 is a pick in the 200's. Likely will be able to move up for a fourth or future third. -

Conventional wisdom says you always trade back. The likelihood of a high first round pick being better than a high second is a coin flip. Ditto for round two to three and so forth. So aquring extra picks to make hitting more likely is always the best move for a team if they have a trade back partner. -

For what it's worth he called Tet to the Panthers four days ago. -

He's got a grade in the second round, around 60th ranking based on most boards available to the public. Maybe a little higher on Team boards. -

We don't need a DE, we need an 3-4 edge rusher/OLB. -

The question is, does the team think the gap between Emmanwori to Sanker and/or EZ to Oladejo is worth giving up a couple of fourths or a future 3rd. -

If they traded up, the targets would be either Emmanwori or EZ I would think. -

Starks was taken in the first round. Emmanwori probably goes in the first ten picks of the second round. Probably looking at Sanker in the third round. -

Where they are picking and counting the teams prospect visits and such. I think they pick Carson Schwesinger or Oluwafemi Oladejo at 57. -

Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8
carpanfan96 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brugler didn't have Hunter as a WR, only CB. Hunter was the Best WR and best CB in this draft. I could've seen trading back and getting a 2nd round pick and taking Golden over staying at 8 and taking Tet who struggles with press coverage and DB's punching him during release. -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8
carpanfan96 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will say this. He fits Dave Canales offense to a T... Which means he doesn't fit what Bryce is historically known for doing well. So even though Bryce asked for him, it's even more evidence that Bryce is going to be expected to run Canales offense from Tampa. -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

Highest I've seen him was PFF at 4 which is silly. Didn't see anyone else have a top ten grade on him. -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8
carpanfan96 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Biggest reasons I didn't like the pick 1. this draft is super deep at WR. 2. Lost of people including myself had him as the 3rd WR behind Golden and Hunter. No value in the top ten taking Tet. 3. This draft isn't very deep on 3-4 front seven players and could've gotten a high end prospect for a 3-4 front at 8. -
Player fits in rounds 2 and 3. Edge Donovan Ezeiruaku JT Tuimoloa Oluwafemi Oladejo Nick Scourton Landon Jackson Bradyn Swinson ILB Carson Schwesinger 3-4 End Darius Alexander Joshua Farmer Alfred Collins Ty Robinson 3-4 NT None Plenty of corners and Safeties in rounds 2-3.
