  1. Im glad you arent our GM LOL. This was exactly what Dave Gettleman was thinking when we drafted Vernon Butler in R1 in 2016.
  2. Unrelated but, Hassan Reddick traded to the Jets
  3. He's actually bit younger than I thought. Turned 31 in February so he's 31 for the entirety of next season Not ancient for a pass rusher. Peppers played through age 38 and Bruce Smith through age 40. Obviously Clowney isn't anywhere near that good but we could definitely get 2 very productive seasons out of him.
  4. Did another one with some different players. With this Wed have a pretty deep stable of pass rushers on the team
  5. Post Clowney pickup. Powers Johnson keeps dropping to R2 in this simulator for some reason but I really don't expect him to make it past the Cowboys and Eagles.
  6. Is Sweat at least more of a pass rusher? We already got some primarily run stuffing DTs and that's pretty high to pick yet another one
  7. That's a dangerous gamble imo. He's had very significant lower body injuries 2 seasons in a row and is an unknown at center.
  8. Why do you guys like these slow big WRs that don't get much separation? Why would that be any different from Funchess, TMJ, Mingo etc. It's like you want to keep drafting the same guy over and over.
  9. I like the idea of regaining a 2nd round pick next year that's the last one we're missing from the Bryce trade.
  10. The sort of crazy thing about this draft is if you get defense high you can basically rebuild half our defense in one off season. It's kinda tempting tbh. In reality I think they're going all in on helping Bryce and we can expect to see offense in R2
  11. And that's exactly what scares me about Legette in particular. Too similar to Mingo and TMJ it's like making the same mistake 3x in a row its almost insanity if he is a bust as well. I'd almost rather them go bpa at any other position because the Panrhers historically suck at Drafting R2 WRs with the exception of Musin Muhammad
  12. I'm not understanding this fanbases love affair with McConkey and Legette. I don't see anything super special but then again I'm a victim of highlight tapes. I don't have the time to go watch their entire game film. I feel like his game is a little too similar to Diontae Johnson and Theilen, but I guess you could argue Theilen is old as fug and would be a great mentor.
  13. What is the name of this simulator? I like that it shows pictures and schools I do like the idea of 2 WRs high
  14. Please tell me the last great panthers WR drafted in R2. I'll wait.. I can however tell you about several bust WR we got Dwayne Jarret, Keary Colbert, Devin Funchess, Terrace Marshall Jr, Jonathan Mingo The only 2nd Round WRs drafted in Carolina Panthers history that ever amounted to anything were Musin Muhammad and Curtis Samuel. Let that sink in. A common trend among a lot of them is lack of explosiveness. If we do draft a WR I'd prefer a mother fuger like Worthy with rockets up his ass.
  15. It really seems like 99 percent of the panther fan base are hard stuck on McConkey or Legette and I don't like either of them at pick 33. I'd rather have either of the Texas WRs, a Center, or an edge rusher, before either of those two.
  16. It's just incredibly difficult to beleive he would actually drop to R2 and make it past all of those playoff caliber teams. But if he did he's the only player where there wouldn't be any debate on who we pick with 33. I actually did a mock yesterday where somehow he fell to us. I've done like 50 mocks this year and only this one it happened. Lol.
  17. This is the first one I've ever done where JPJ fell to round 2.
  18. I'm strongly against trading up into R1 unless it's for Jackson Powers Johnson. And even then I'm not willing to part with any 2025 picks, we're already down a R2 pick in 2025 from the trade up for Bryce last year. Just generally speaking when you're a shitty team you want to get more picks instead of giving them away. That's part of what screwed Fitterer he kept giving away picks till the very end and it put us in the meteor sized hole we're trying to climb out of right now.
  19. They could do something like this if they really wanted to. It's going to dilute the talent pool alot though so you better hope Morgan is exponentially better at drafting mid-late round than Fitterer, Gettleman, or Hurney was.
  20. Not bad. I personally love the idea of getting 2 WRs in R2 but I don't think it's realistic after we gutted the defense so bad and we have bunch of role players.
  21. That's what I'm afraid of. The panthers seem to always pick the "wrong" WR in R2.
  22. If Bryce stinks in 2024 and they didn't bring in any other young qbs for real competition, that's how you would know they're still meddling
  23. A lot of people here wanted Stroud when we initially made the trade but convinced themselves Bryce was the better pick when the media went on a month long jerk off session for Bryce and tried to tear CJ down. There's some people that stuck with CJ as their pick but a lot of people jumped ship when they saw the tide turning in Bryces favor. I got nailed for not believing in him when it got closer to the draft and became obvious we were picking him.
  24. I was listening to a football podcast and the dude basically said most Rookie QBs get until Thanksgiving of year 2 to see if they're worth keeping. If Bryce doesn't show major improvement sometime in year 2 I'll be ready to move on. Even Canales has already said he has the benefit of not being emotionally attached to any of these players and I think that includes Bryce. Canales and Morgan are going to give him the best Oline and WR core they can muster, if Bryce falls on his face again it's open season at QB in 2025. I think though, if Canales QB whisperer trend continues, Bryce SHOULD improve to some degree. If he doesn't that more of an indictment on him and not Canales.
