Hoenheim replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't want to hear any talk about the playoffs until we can actually prove that we can win on a consistent basis. -

fug this defense and fug evero for forcing them to play 20 yards off the ball every play Jaycee Horn dropped back way too far right before the TD, and of course he lets a TD get scored on him and he falls down. lol. -

Rico gets that on a normal hand off, I don't know why Canales has been so insistent on the FB dive with Chubba for 4th down. Do something creative or just run Rico. -
I'm coming back to this post if we win

I think Deion's personality had a strong impact on Shedur's personality, although somewhat problematically, Deion was a supremely generational all time athlete at CB and Sheddur is mostly a solid pocket QB. I think Shedur is actually way more humble that Deion is/was, I just think whenever people catch him in a soundbite that makes him seem cocky they run with it to keep that narrative going for the haters to feast on. He's made it a point to at least seem a lot more humble since he's been drafted. No point in us trying to get him, only way it would've been feasible is if Stefanski kept his job into next year and Bryce had as abysmal of a season this year as he did his rookie season. Netiher are true/are going to be true imo. Maybe whoever doesn't draft Mendoza in 2026 draft might try to trade for him. Or the Browns could draft Mendoza and trade Sheddur.

I think Cleveland fans would revolt if that happened. I saw a stat somewhere about no browns QB throwing 3TD and running for a TD in their rookie season since Otto Graham in the 40s and 50s. He led the Browns to 7 championship wins and 10 consecutive championship games in the 1940s - 1950s I followed Colorado closely the past 2 years (23 and 24 seasons) , dude was always very good in terms of accuracy and ball placement. He still struggles with holding the ball too long and some bone headed turnovers/plays, but he can make some incredible passes when he gets the time. He consistently made stuff happen despite Colorado have an abysmal o line, his scrambling ability is underrated. I think the entire draft poo show, was due to his personality. I think his personality rubbed some people the wrong way and his drop in the draft had nothing to do with talent. He should've gone right after Cam Ward in R1 to maybe the Saints or Raiders, easily. Raiders in particular would look totally different with him instead of Jeanty or Geno

If you look at it with context, the fact that Tmac is putting up those numbers on a wildly inconsistent offense like the Panthers with a QB that throws for sub 200 most of his games, is probably way more impressive than Ebuka balling with Baker launching poo down the field constantly on a team that's won the division multiple years in a row. I think it's going to come down to how he finishes up the year, Tmac and Ebuka go head to head twice in the last 3 weeks of the season. That will settle who wins most likely. Especially if we win the games against Tampa. Conversely if Tampa sweeps us and Tmac has poor stats, Ebuka could win.
