Yea it may not be "fair" but QBs are ultimately judged by how successful they are. Bryce definitely needs to have a winning season/playoff season within his first 4 years to be considered worth paying top dollar to and keeping for another 3 or 4 years. That's also what the entire coaching staff is gking to be held to. Not having a winning season with 4 years of Bryce/3 years of Canales simply won't be good enough, and I think Tepper would hit the reset button on everything if we arent in the playoffs or have a winning season by the end of the 2026 season. Personally I'll become a Bryce Believer if he can consistently perform well this year and we get 8 or 9 + wins, is what im looking for.

I don't like how people say "You should feel this way." There is no specific correct way how to fan. You're just antagonizing people when you frame your statements like that. A ton of people here were super high on Bryce before the 23 season, then almost everyone thought he was trash 23 through first 2 games of 24. Now the majority sentiment has gone way up again with how Bryce finished the year. During all of these periods of time, if you ever went against the majority sentiment on Bryce , tons of people would try to browbeat you into believing you're "wrong" for believing or disbelieving in him. My current perspective on Bryce is mixed. I'm not cherry picking only his rookie year or only his last half of 2024. I'm looking at his career in it's ENTIRETY. The bottom line is this. Bryce showed significant improvement last year, but that doesn't magically erase all the shitty games he had before that. He has an overall W-L record of 6W - 22L , 60% completion percentage, 26 TDs to 19 INTs. None of that is good enough to be a franchise QB. So in reality, this 2025 is THE turning point. If he can not turn the ship around in his 3rd year in terms of Wins and Losses, his future could be very much in question. Do you think the Panthers are going to want to pay a QB 60 mil a year that has a lopsided Loss to Win column and medicore stats with 3 straight losing seasons to his name??? He's gotta perform this year for his sake and the sake of the coaching staff, IMO.

We put a ton of high draft capital into young WRs over the past few years. We drafted a WR in top 2 rounds of the draft in 4 out of the past 5 years. At some point, we need to rely on the dudes we drafted vs relying on veteran role players. That's the only way we're going to evolve as a team and take the next step to going back to winning again. Remember when Cam lost KB and everyone thought it was the end of the universe? And 2015 happened. Maybe losing Theilen and Coker will open some opportunities for some other guys to step up.

So apparently in the time between the end of the last football season, and now, a TON of streaming sites have been taken down. From what I remember most of these idiotic offiicial streaming services that offer NFL games don't ever offer ALL of the games. I remember subscribing to one service on youtube last season that cost hundreds of dollars and it would still constantly tell me games were either blacked out or unavailable, which is totally ridiculous. Is there any one service that I can watch ALL of the games on?? It gets on my everlasting nerves already that there's so many different streaming sites and they are all expensive as hell. I don't want to take out an entire additional car payment to subscribe to 4 different streaming services to watch all the games. Is there just ONE I can subscribe to? The most comprehensive thing I have access to now is Sirius XM. It's only 10 ish bucks a month and I can listen to the home or away broadcasts of any game. Only thing is I can't WATCH the games but this seriously comes in handy if I'm out doing something, driving, or can't stay still at the moment to watch the games. But usually I'm off on Sundays, so I mostly want to watch them.

Arch definitely needs 2 full years way too raw as I can see it now. You can see the throwing power and occasional beautiful throws but he's way too erratic overall with his accuracy. Texas also lost quite a few big names to the draft as well. Feels like it's going to be a learning season for Arch

Its a game now lol

That's Quarterback money, insanity . If green bay doesnt make the super bowl during this contract they gave him, its basically a failure with that level of compensation of money and picks.

2026 draft is shaping up to be extremely interesting now, we have the Cowboys, Rams, and Browns all with 2 first rounders next year in what people are assuming to be a QB laden draft. Cowboys better hope Ezeraku ends up being extremely good. They didn't just lose Micah Parsons this off season, they also lost Demarcus Lawrence. And iirc their best linebacker Overshown went down partway through the season last year. Trevon Digs (CB) is coming back from a major injury. They might have an absolutely abysmal defense this year. Jerry really fuged them by giving Dak his most recent contract. They could have traded his ass too and did a hard reboot .

Looks like an elaborate pick swap Basically our 2026 7th round pick became an additional 5th round pick in 2026. And our 2027 5th round pick became an additional 4th rounder. Looks like Morgan caved on the compensation he wanted. I think Theilen must have really wanted to go back home.

Bears starting offense looked pretty crisp in their opening drive..

Makes no fuging sense man. We haven't been a competitive team in 7 seasons and we now should give up high draft capital and a huge contract for an aging pass rusher?? We literally JUST recovered from the Bryce trade and all of Fitterer's bullshit trades from the last several years. 2026 is set up to be our first draft in quite a while where we actually still have all of our original draft picks. I'd be so upset if we traded away anything higher than a 4th round pick. This is a move only a team who thinks they are a legitimate super bowl contender should make. If you're a rebuilding team like the Panthers, trading away high round draft capital is suicide unless it's for a future HOF level QB. With our luck, we'd give up a 1st, a bank breaking contract, and he'd get hurt in game 1 lol. Or have a medicore off year of 7 sacks or something.

Jags 2nd team unit looks pretty good. Their first team offense looked decent enough with the exception of that bizzare fumble by Lawrence.

Just in general in the pre season, Jaxon Dart has looked very impressive. If I was a Giants fan, I would be hoping the coaching staff has the patience to sit him for most if not all this year and have him develop under Russel Wilson. I think Dart can be extremely good if they don't feed him to the fire in the first half of the season. Also Kyle Allen and Taylor Heineke are still in the league.
-
At the very least, it means we have really bad depth on this team if we get beat so bad in every pre season game. That means your 2nd and 3rd stringers are consistently getting beat in their matchups.. Our offensive starters looked good for 1 drive in the first game, that's about it. Still worried about the defense, especially the run D. I know Horn didn't play and D.Brown didn't play most of the snaps. Any time the starters got taken out the run defense went to poo very quickly, which is a bad sign that they could be very bad again Legette got tossed out of the first game for fighting and was a ghost in the 2nd game, I'm not sure if he was even targeted this game.

Saints o line must be terrible with all this immediate pressure from the Jags dline
-
Tyler Shough stumbles on a drop back and gets sacked immediately, Saints first possesion
-
Travis Hunter not playing apparently, some him wearing a hoodie on the sidelines.
-
Trevor Lawrence stumbles in the red zone on a handoff to the RB, fumbles the ball, and the Saints recover the ball on the Jaguars first offensive possession LOL Also the Saints are not playing starters, the Jags were playing at least some starters on that first series.
-
Looks like the Jags starting offense is out there.
-
Not too many games today (Sunday). Just Saints vs Jags at 1PM and Bills vs Bears at 8PM. Didn't watch as many games yesterday personally, I was working. I listened to our game and the first half of the Raiders vs 49ers game. Raiders might be very different with Pete Carol and Geno Smith.

The Read Optional:Was Bryce Young's leap for real?
Hoenheim replied to lumbeecheraw75's topic in Carolina Panthers
We will definitely find out this year, assuming he stays healthy. I don't want him to be benched or replaced by Dalton in any game. I want a full 17 game sample size of how well he does in his 3rd year in the league and 2nd year in Canales' system. It's either put up or shut up time. I think he either has to play consistently very good, or he can be average if we're winning. If he's bad enough for us to pick high enough up in the draft to replace him in a loaded 2026 QB draft, then he'd be replaced imo. The exact criteria for his success is a little harder to define. Something like 3000+ passing 20+ TDs 12 or less INTs, statistically would be nice. Or if he has underwhelming stats/performance, getting to or winning a playoff game could keep him rolling otw to a cap busting contract as well . The Panthers have been so starved for winning seasons or playoffs over the last 7 years, I don't think they'll change any major parts if we finally get back to winning. I'm personally not sold on Bryce until we either have a winning/playoff season, or he consistently plays very well for an entire NFL season. He hasn't done that yet. -
Not long after he had a long td throw though lol

Tyler Shough for the Saints throws a 45 yard pick 6 lol

Media touting tonight as The Shedaur Show
Hoenheim replied to Puresteel55's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not true, I've heard the Panthers mentioned multiple times in the off season. Recently Ocho Cinco on nightcap has saying he likes the Panthers WRs .I saw Dan Morgan getting interviewed on the Pat MacAfee show and they sometimes talk about us. I think the media sentiment has been generally fairly positive about them this off season. Although expecting us to get a cowboys like constant coverage won't happen unless we maybe win 5 super bowls lol I guarantee you, there would be a lot more coverage if we won more games. Its that simple . Being a constantly losing or mediocre team for the most part its hard to get people beyond your own fans to care about mentioning the team often
