    With all the names popping up this cycle there really isn't one that I could see Wilks staying on staff with in a assistant HC role/D personnel...only name I see is Dorsey and even that is meh...maybe Reich?

    It's all about learning which firing Rhule was step 1. There were people here that were hell bent that Dave would keep Rhule for the season or be here for seven years.

    Josh Downs is someone that interests me in the 2nd round early on. I know TE is a need but I believe Downs is Chris Godwin type receiver that we need. DJ, Downs, and Marshall make a interesting group. I know he's on the shorter side but the route running looks great.

    The Bucs had a field day torching Taylor and Henderson on the long passes but it still was a one possession game in the end. I don't think he get the job but you're lying to yourself if you say that Wilks didn't turn this team around to a degree.

    Not even just that we are short a number of position coaches too from Rhule leaving/poaching and Wilks taking over.

    It’s an outside opinion the pieces are there. It would be great to see what a full staff can due unlike our current patchwork. Burns, Brown, Luvu, and Horn are great foundational pieces. I know you won’t agree but Ben has his ear to the ground about opinions around the league.

    Ben being nice here. The cap space comment is about 2024 and on because he even clarifies next year isn’t great but it’s more of a clean up year.

    DJ has been a good 50/50 ball receiver and it was like some QBs (Baker and Teddy) were afraid to just pull the trigger.

    His career arch is going like Mike Evans (which is a good thing) If Evans played in the NFC East he would have been viewed as the GOAT already but spent a majority of his time on bad Tampa teams.

    This all started because Goff bitched and moaned and he’s the player rep for the lions. Interesting how the NFLPA do that when the Lions current field is in the current turf lawsuit all together. Fun fact…Bank of Americas field turf isn’t in that lawsuit because it’s not the cheap stuff contrary to popular belief.

    If you had to put a gun to my head I would chose Johnson because yeah he had some weapons but Shane is working with a fully loaded team on offense. Problem is I have come to realize that just because they are a hot name offensive doesn’t mean crap when they can’t be a leader. Pick the right guy not the hot name just because.
