  1. Thanks for your input. I am just hoping to get it from the people who were actually in the room.

  3. this should now hopefully lead to us understand how the break up happened in the first place..
  4. exciting day today... Joe Brady.... spotlight is on you brother....
  5. I dont think he starts sunday. However, there is a good portion of the playbook Cam would be familiar with. It's the vernacular that would have to be absorbed and understood.
  6. Poor PJ. Second week in a row where he is slated to start, and then we pull the rug out beneath him. I can't imagine how frustrating that can be as a player in any professional sport.
  7. @Verge anything from your side to weigh in on? Sounds like it's a done deal.
  8. Reports are out that we have been talking to Cam since the Falcons game. I dont think the team would waste that much effort to give him a psuedo offer. Also, pulling Tepper, Rhule and Drummond into a room for any length of time, IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. So I would dismiss your thought process here.
  9. our own Steve Wilks for a college coach. Go figure.
  10. Kliff Kingsbury is in his third year, and still has 40% (60% of those are starters) of the roster from 2019. What would he say about my last statement exactly? "I almost did that"
  11. If we were to land Cousins and then just invest in an oline the entire offseason... we would be in the playoffs next year. Easily. Kirk is not the problem in Minnesota right now. The only thing is.... could Kirk win with Joe Brady? There is no way Kirk wears purple next year. He is due 45million next year.... and he is cuttable without penalty.
  12. Well I for sure was one that was hoping. Bummer that he wasnt, because that would have been quite the chess move. However, it appears its not going to work out that way. Not all risks pay off.
  13. The same folks who are saying Rhule is over his head and needs to be fired, are the same who said: 1. Brian Burns is a bust and never willl be a NFL DE 2. Shaq Thompson is a bust 3. Not resigining Curtis Samuel was a mistake 4. Donte Jackson should get cut, he is garbage 5. CMC will never be able to run between the tackles and is just a WR and so much more.... All knowledgeless impatient and emotional comments. There is so much we don't know but we act like we are confucious.
  14. Well we still have year 3. Also, all of our previous coaches had a franchise quarterback. 1. Kerry Collins 2. Jake Delhomme 3. Cam Newton If Rhule gets one this offseason, then I'm sure we are back in the playoffs. This team only has two glaring holes. OL and QB. It's not like Rhule is out there throwing picks himself. Again, the FO tried to shortcut the process, it didnt work out. However, there is no other reason to consider firing him. Tepper is an investor and he is going to monitor his investment.
  15. He is not going to get fired. That would be a knee jerk reaction. Tepper will go hard after Watson, and most likely will land him. If Rhule cant win with Watson, then that would be the etching on the gravestone. The bottom line is that Rhule came in with 90% roster turnover, and turned a bottom of the league defense into an elite unit. Joe Brady had a strong offense last year and was seen as a wunderkind, but as many pundits have said, people have figured out the offense. Tepper knows this, Rhule knows this (as he mentioned three weeks back that joe brady has a lot to work on)... The argument of "well Rhule hired him" goes in the same vein as John Harbaugh hiring (and firing) Marc Trestman as OC. The bottom line is that this FO thought they could shortcut the process with Sam. It didnt work out, but its a risk they took. Tepper supported it. Now they are going to change course and correct. Rhule has at least one more year here. Regardless of how we look right now as a team, its still better than what we have seen since Rivera era post Cam injury. I cant think of a single coach who had a roster turnover of 90% and turn the franchise into a super bowl winning operation within 2 seasons. we are just being impatient.
  16. Something happened behind closed doors that we have no idea what occurred. Cam apparently has done something that has led to the league blackballing him. It's silly for us to get frustrated without knowing the full details. There are always two sides to every story.
  17. lol... it took McDermott 3 years to turn the Bills into a contender. We have an elite defense under Rhule within 2 years. We just need an OC as competent as Daboll and build an oline while buying a QB and we are right there as well. It's not like this team is a dumpster fire on both sides of the ball.
