Week 4 Carolina at Baltimore Vegas Odds

Last night was brutal.  I've chosen to move on after reading about how much we sucked (hint:  it was a lot).

We damn well better shore up our O-line and D-line before traveling to Baltimore.

O/U : 39.5

Baltimore - 3

Two favors for Carolina:

1.  Any combination of Pierce, Taliaferro, and Forsett are nowhere near the talent of Bell/Blount.  Should me a much easier day at stopping the run.

2.  Dennis Pitta just dislocated his hip and will be a substantial period of time.  He's been Flacco's security blanket (outside of Smitty).  This should allow us to focus our coverage more on the perimeter of field with the Smith's.

Two favors for Baltimore:

1.  Their defense is better than the Pitt defense that just demolished our O-line.

2.  They appear to have all the intangibles in their favor (Smitty revenge, home field, confidence after spanking Steelers and then them spanking us)

Maybe it's the homer in me but I'll take the over and Carolina in a close game.   23-17

    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
    • Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
