Kemba is gonna get paid. I'd say 10 million +. Better just accept it, look at Bledsoe's deal.

He's gonna get paid here. Idk why so many people hate on him. He's a very good player & not that far behind guys like Wall & Irving.

Kemba is the heart & soul of this team. He's the unquestioned leader. He is the biggest, & possibly only, reason we landed Big Al AND Lance. Clifford, Jordan, & Cho all love Kemba & view him as a cornerstone of the franchise.

I guess some people just like to be pessimistic.

I don't disagree with you. I don't think he is that far behind Irving and Wall, but I think that's more a product of them being vastly overrated. He will get paid here definitely, I honestly think he'll be extended before the deadline.

Irving- 6.1 APG, 2.28 A/TO ratio, 35.2 minutes, 8.3 assists per 48 minutes

Waker- 6.1 APG, 2.64 A/TO ratio, 35.8 minutes, 8.2 assists per 48 minutes

Sorry friend, the numbers don't back you up on that.

stats don't mean poo honestly

Yeah that's why Chip Kelly's offense and his team as a whole (which for the majority is based on stats) is cra.... Oh wait.

Statistical based coaching and analysis will be HUGE in the next 10 years based on the current flow that it's already on.

Are you suggesting Kyrie is not on a higher level than Kemba?

I don't understand why the fact that Kemba vs. Kyrie is laughed at so much. Kyrie Irving is the most overrated player in the NBA, and it isn't close. By what measure is Kyrie "on a higher level"? He shot a slightly higher percentage and was slightly more efficient of a scorer. That's all he's got on Kemba. Add in the defensive edge for Kemba and they're pretty much on the same level.

So if stats are unimportant what is the ultimate test for how good someone is?

Media-Hype

That's it. It's true for all sports, look at baseball. Stephen Strasburg (Age 26) is hyped to no end by the media. He gets as much attention and praise as any player in the game, they act like he's a superstar. Reality? He's injury-prone and a wildly inconsistent pitcher. Madison Bumgarner (Age 25) gets next to no praise whatsoever by the media (excluding this postseason). He's been a very good major league pitcher since he was 19, and an elite top 10 pitcher the past 2 seasons. He's a 2x All-Star, NLCS MVP, & 2x WS champion, currently playing for his 3rd, & has put up all-time historic postseason numbers.

It's all about media perception. Oh, & doing fancy moves in commercials & ASGs. Kyrie has been heralded & praised as a superstar PG since he was 16 years old. I don't get it. Is he good? Absolutely. But he's an injury-prone player, has a poor attitude, is one of the worst defenders in the entire league, & has always put up inflated stats on terrible teams. He's vastly overrated & nowhere near being a superstar.

Kyrie went to Duke & now plays with LeBron. Kyrie has really cool commercials & won a useless ASG award. Kyrie is slurped by ESPN & heralded as a superstar.

Kemba plays in Charlotte. ESPN doesn't care, therefore fans don't either.

Why is he the most overrated player? The Kyrie hate is unreal

    • Have you seen the mock drafts lately?   Most of them have us taking a QB. Just because you aren't high on these QBs doesn't mean the Panthers or other teams aren't.   If you want me to be real I just think you a Tmac homer and all you care about is us drafting him. It's why you get so defensive when people mention other prospects.   Be open to other people's ideas. Nobody in this thread is saying anything bad about your boy Tmac.
    • Oh good lord Interest doesn't mean interest in making a bad trade to take the player, that's why I had such a long post, to accurately describe why those are two different things, but you don't like to listen to that stuff.  Being interested in a player doesn't live in a vacuum. It's very simple... there isn't a #1 draft pick type of grade on any of these QB's, if there was, we'd just take them.  You can't bluff a pick everyone knows you won't make, and trying to trade the pick is the CLEAR signal that you're not taking the QB. Just because the Raiders would have interest, doesn't mean they're going to bail us out of a situation we don't want to be in, they'd be smart about it and just sit put, let us take a non QB as we'd be telling the world we're not taking one just by trying to trade the pick, and then they'd take him at #2 (either with their own pick or by trading less to get that one). Oh, and your point of "if nobody is willing to make the trade, you obviously just take the best QB" is quite literally the dumbest thing I've ever read on here. If nobody is willing to trade up to take the QB, then it's OBVIOUS that the QB isn't worth taking with that pick, so OBVIOUSLY taking the best QB there is just OBVIOUSLY stupid and a bad pick. The moral of it is if there is a QB worth taking, we're taking them and not making the trade.  If there isn't a QB worth taking there, nobody is trading up to #1 to take one, we just showed the NFL how bad of an idea that is 2 years ago, it's really not hard to see. You keep making up this mythical situation where there is a QB who has shown to be worth trading up to #1 for and we'll be able to leverage that into a trade.  But we're the most QB needy team in the league, if we end up with the #1 pick, either we are taking a QB #1 or no QB is going #1 unless we get VERY lucky and two teams in the Top 5 fall in love with one prospect and we can play them off each other and fleece one of them. But again, I can't see that happening, as if there was a QB worthy of that, we're just taking him ourselves.
    • Sanders is with Tom Brady brand and that's his mentor. The Raiders owner was with Sanders taking pics at a Vegas game together.   It doesn't take much to connect the dots that Vegas will be interested in Sanders as their franchise QB. Oh yeah and guess who hasa small ownership stake in the Raiders Tom Brady.   I guess this is just another made up Madden idea by me huh?
