GMan gave up a pick for a way past his prime DE that had 3 DUI's in his past, and, who had, TWO sacks on the year.

And who had a long, solid history and was playing in the wrong system.

Hardy can say neither of those things.

I loved the move, but the guy was two years older than Greg is now when he had his own best season.  Age is still on Greg's side.  SEVEN guys on our starting D last year are older than Greg!!!!

I can name at least eleven guys on that defense who are more stable than Greg.

Guessing if this were several years ago, you'd be arguing for us to pick up Jeff George.

There are some guys in football for whom all the talent in the world doesn't matter because their head isn't screwed on straight. Hardy he is one of those guys; and it's not the Panthers fault, the Cowboys fault or anybody else's fault. It's Hardy himself.

Football is barbaric in its very nature.  Who REALLY knows what its future even holds for the next generation.

Ndamukong Suh became the highest paid defensive player in history.  Vontaze Burfict continues to have a job.  Both despite their on field criminal behavior.  Suh was even named the league's dirtiest player by his peers, yet the league's most respected player, in your avatar, supports Greg.

Teammates probably also support Josh Norman getting 16 million dollars.

There's a reason why those guys don't make those decisions.

Suh and Burfict have never played for the Panthers, and never will.

The second part of that statement is something they have in common with Greg Hardy.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
