Here's the Panthers.com piece on TD:

Linebacker Thomas Davisicon-article-link.gif seems to be getting better with age. His 11th NFL season culminated with his first Pro Bowl nod and now a spot on the NFL "Top 100" list.

On Wednesday, Davis checked in at No. 54, joining defensive tackle Kawann Shorticon-article-link.gif (No. 58) as Panthers making their first appearance on the annual NFL Network show. Center Ryan Kalilicon-article-link.gif (No. 79) and running back Jonathan Stewarticon-article-link.gif (No. 86) are the other Panthers revealed so far.

Davis, who finished second on the team with 123 tackles, recorded career highs with 5.5 sacks and four interceptions and was the only player in the NFL in 2015 to record five or more sacks and four or more interceptions.

Again... there's a "best of" photo gallery.

Interesting that none of the 4 Panthers who so far have made the list (Stew, Kalil, KK and TD) were on the list last season.

Kalil I believe is the only one of the four who has EVER been on the top 100 previously.  So... that raises a question:

How much of the improved rankings of our players in such a list is due to their improved / lights out play in 2015, vs. how much is due to the added viewership and relevance that comes with wins?

Certainly some of our players lie KK and Josh had a monster season in 2015.  Also, our Oline was dramatically improved, which highlighted Kalil's role and excellence.

But players like TD & Greg finally getting some of the appreciation and respect they deserve I think is due to the fact of our wins.  These guys have been outstanding contributors for years, but they're finally getting more notice now that the Panthers are in the spotlight.  I'm so glad.  They deserve it.

Agreed.  There is no doubt that winning helps you lock down a spot on this countdown.  Sure, if you're really really good, you'll make the list regardless, but every year really solid/quality guys that are on bad teams get "snubbed" as they say.  Think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the list is voted on by the players themselves.
