My Halos are getting criticized by some media types because when they won the division the other night, they poured beer on the jersey of fallen teammate Nick Adenhart, who was killed by a drunk driver the first week of the season. What say you? It was spontaneous and they merely wanted to remember him. His jersey has hung in the locker room and the dugout all year long.

I can see why it makes some feel uncomfortable, but I don't think anyone really connected the dots until someone pointed it out.

I have no problem with it, it seems like they really liked the guy and it was a classy move. Especially everyone going out to the centerfield wall.

Sports teams celebrate by pouring champagne and beer on themselves. Some people just need to let some things go.
